Gavimar Cala Gran Hotel and Apartments

It’s a little bit old one and included so I have some meals the meals are good and do the hotels in normal location in Resort parking lot but in front of the building there are several social parking lot. You can park your cars in.

I am here now. It’s true it’s a very basic hotel regarding the rooms etc but they are comfortable and clean! Bed nice and comfy! 9 of us came, 5 adults, 2 x 15 year olds and a 2 and 6 year old. We were in rooms 201,203 and 205 and first night here they had karaoke and the walls were vibrating in 201 til late, I could hear it very clearly in the other rooms but we took ear plus thank god and worked a treat! So if you want quiet at night don’t go in any of these rooms! I was told when it’s this time of year they do tend to have the entertainment in that part of hotel but warmer season is downstairs so might be ok in those rooms then! Also my daughters room (203) absolutely reeked of stale smoke so I’m assuming a previous occupant was smoking in there which is unfortunate, no fault on the management they can’t see what people are doing behind closed doors! So made sure doors were left open to get the air in and sprayed some air freshener. Obviously it’s quiet this time of year so no issue with getting sun beds. Food is great, something for everyone. The snack bar is your usual burgers, nuggets, fries, etc. Staff are absolutely great, friendly and helpful. I asked for a kettle and more pillows and had these in my room within half hour. Would we come back? Yes we would! This hotel is in a lovely area with the most beautiful beach on the doorstep and lots of shops and restaurants within a 5/10 min walk, some closed due to time of year but were told alot more opening today. We are all happy and wished we booked longer than 5 days!

Hotel room: always cleaned well Room: could hear everything from outside on the street to the night entertainment which made it hard to sleep Food: the food was the worst bit honestly. We went out to eat multiple times because it was hard to find anything appetising Snacks: you had to pay a euro for a plate for the snacks but that was returned when you gave the plate back. Snacks were very much first come first served and they ran out quickly Staff: staff were nice but you did get served incorrect drinks a lot because of the language barrier Location: location was the best bit. Directly in front of the beach and a very short walk to shops and restaurants We went for 3 full days so we managed but I wouldn’t have been able to stay any longer than that. I’d rate it more of a 2 star.

It was great, you get what you pay for! Clean room, fabulous location, staff really friendly. The only thing I can say I didn’t like much was having to pay 1 euro for a cup and plate, other than that was great overall!! Me and my friend would definitely come back here.

Just got back home today from a 6 night stay. Absolutely fabulous in every way. Excellent location - beach literally on your doorstep, Very clean hotel, excellent attentive staff, great choice of food and drink - we’re returning in August with more family. Perfect 👌

Arrived on the 6th of April, was due to stay until the 11th but left only 24 hours later and bought new flights home due to the disappointment. Upon arrival, despite paying for an all inclusive hotel, you are given a sheet full of hidden charges to use all of the facilities. For example, you are not allowed to use room towels at the pool, therefore must pay a €10 deposit on top of a €7 charge per person for a beach towel, you are also expected to pay for a plastic cup to receive any all inclusive drinks, plus many others. All of these charges are expected to be paid in cash, and both the ATM in the hotel and nearby ATMs were not working, preventing access to these services. Our bathroom was full of mould, the beds were rock solid, our room was right next to the maids rooms, meaning they were constantly talking and banging against our door. Other guests were running up and down the halls, screaming and slamming doors, due to walls being paper thin this was very annoying. TV was broken, balcony door was broken. This plus many other issues all made for a horrible experience. Food was ok, but if you have any picky eaters, beware as options are incredibly limited. Pool fully closes at 6, including all sunbeds being put away so you can’t even lye in the sun.
