Hotel Sur

Book 5 nights for me and my 12 year old daughter, I wasn’t expecting 5 star luxury as it was a cheap holiday, I was pleasantly surprised! The rooms are basic but clean, the pool was small but quiet and could always get a sun bed, great location for the beach, shops and restaurants, Cala Millor just a short walk, the entertainment was fab, the breakfast and evening meals were great, my fussy eater loved the lasagne and the cottage pie, I would definitely return for the price :)

I ABSOLUTELY love this hotel!!! Every time I come I get treated as family, as I am sure are most guests!! I left a little tip in my room for housekeeping. The room was nice and clean every day and from my experience at work it’s not a nice job!!!!!! THE bar staff……muy bien… left them a good tip then the boss came over to say no too much!!!!! I told the boss her staff are great and she should be proud…..and they brought me a pint!!!! Hotel sur ❤️❤️❤️❤️ see you next year… mucahs gracias

We are hear at the moment we have found no fault what so ever rooms clean and the beds are the comfy we are bed and breakfast they are amazing all English the staff and cleaners are excellent highly recommended the rooms are lovely we are on the front best place is the front the entertainment is good this is are 2nd time hear how it got to be a 2 star I never no

The hotel was spot on, very nice and clean, comfy beds so slept well every night, free air con and pool view can't ask for much more really. Pool area was nice and clean, pool a bit dirty though and can't be cleaned often as all my swim wear and towels etc turned green after 1 day of been in there. The lady with glasses and blonde hair on reception was lovely, very helpful and kind. However, young male receptionist and woman with red braided hair, mainly saw her in the kitchen / eating area, extremely rude! Horrible woman who quite clearly was talking bad about me, I can't speak Spanish but it's very obvious when someone is talking about you. Disgusting, it's giving JEALOUS. Because she had absolutely no reason to be as awful as she was every time she saw me. I was with my child and my Nan, what could I of possibly been doing to be made that uncomfortable, talking about me and giving me awful looks. Get over yourself! The staff in the bar didn't wanna know you, polite because they had to be but didn't want to know. Apart from the bald guy who was lovely. There was also a man called ibrahim a waiter there, lovely man, was very good and kind with my daughter but it became a bit intense when he was asking my child to go to the shop with him, bringing 2-3 ice creams and drinks at a time constantly, picking her up and kissing her cheeks and then eventually started asking me to go out with him, bad intentions really. Overall it was a nice hotel and a lovely area, that woman is the reason why I wouldn't go back there, and ibrahim just tone it down a bit you'll find your English wife out there somewhere, but not me tho.

So we arrived late around midnight ish, the guy was very blunt with us all but anyway whatever, the rooms were spotless, every day cleaned, fresh towels and bedding and comfy beds too! Decent balcony and a pool view. Lovely woman and man on reception desk, happy to help and friendly. Pool area was nice and always able to get a sun bed no matter what time of day it was which is a bonus to say it's only a small area. The pool was decent however I never saw it get cleaned? All mine and my daughter's swimming stuff and towels turned green and the pool sides were all green? So pretty dirty and the water tasted very very salty. (no I don't drink pool water it just so happens that you get splashed water in face etc ) Didn't eat any food there so can't comment on that but did look nice. They have a little children's area only small but my 3 year old loved it. They also have a park at the back of the hotel too. Plus others dotted around the area, also just 1 minute down the road they have a big bouncy castle, go karts and trampolines for the kids which keeps them occupied for a while. The entertainment on an evening was ok, it was on every night, different singer not my cup of tea in music but was still alright. They did a quiz night which made a change to just listening to someone singing every night. Now onto the part which ruined my holiday personally and other young girls need to be wary of. The bar man Ibrahim who I believe is Nigerian, not that it matters but will make it easy to identify if you decide to go. So I am a 25 year old who has a 3 year old and I also came with my nan. At first we thought he was a lovely guy, was very lovely to my daughter and she took a liking to him very quickly as he played peek a boo with her and was just friendly, then a few days had gone by and the attention he was giving her became more and more, telling her to come over to him, picking her up and asking her do you want an ice cream or do you want a drink? That's nice of him you might be thinking, yes I thought so too, however, he was coming back with 2-3 ice creams a time and drinks etc. now at first we was like aw that's nice of him bla bla but it was becoming very often and then I started getting free drinks brought over to me, but not my Nan? So she was getting charged and I wasn't? A bit unfair given we're there together. Anyway, one night the calling my daughter over was becoming every 10 minutes or so, and he was asking her do you want to come to the shop with me, now under no circumstances would I ever allow a stranger who we've known for 5 days take my daughter out of my sight. Luckily my daughter said no every time, not that I'd of let her had she said yes. Anyway, this particular night when he'd called her over at least 6 times already, he called her over again, to which this time I took her over as every time he kept asking do you want to come to the shop with me and I started to worry that he would take her out of my sight. What can I say! An absolute gem of a hotel. From the moment Christina welcomes you at reception, absolutely everything is amazing. As a solo traveller,I felt so safe and so well looked after. I stayed half board and the breakfasts were delicious, you name it they had it. The Evening meals were also lovely. Salads, main courses, always included a Spanish dish every evening, and deserts to die for! Single room was actually a double room for single use and most looked over the pool. Fabulous air con!! No noise whatsoever! No rush for sunbeds either, plenty available at whatever time of day! The staff were brilliant, so friendly. Had a ball, thank you Hotel Sur for a lovely wee break xx
