The room and overall experience was fine. However, one glaring thing that guests who book connecting rooms (a standard room and a 1BR suite) should know: the interconnecting rooms with an interior and exterior door do NOT have a private common area.
Typically, this type of connecting room provides privacy and flexibility for guests. Guests actively seek this configuration out in order to not just enjoy the space of the two rooms, BUT ALSO the common foyer area in-between the exterior door and the interior door that now should become private--- and is private by the standards of every Major Hotel chain in the world.
But at Park Regis City Quays--- they do things differently. That space, btw interior and exterior doors, is considered public. Two times the staff walked inside this space with no warning, and caught us starkers.
A bizarre policy that benefits no one that this Hotel should change and guests should be warned of.
