Travelodge Burton M6 Northbound

This hotel was a little tired and the room lacked a bit of TLC. there where not enough towels and the staff where a little lacking in customer service skills. We didn't sleep very well due to the not too comfortable bed. So a bit disappointed as as we had been driving for hours and really needed a good night's sleep.

We checked in put our bags in the room and went out not noticing the foul smell from the drainage till later when we arrived back later,we were informed the next day upon complaining the there were quite a few rooms with the same smell that were affected by a possible blockage needless to say we were not pleased

I don't usually write reviews but had too for this little place. Was a multi night stay booking from my company wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised was really clean and tidy hotel although could do with an update. Room was very clean and fresh with everything I needed. Scott on checkin was very efficient even gave me directions to get back south without going back on myself due to where I was working. Natasha was also helpful with good places to eat that wasn't burger king. The only downside was the night gent I think he had south African accent on my way out in the morning stopped me when I was near the door asking if I was going north or south I just wanted to get going at that time in a morning and if I wanted directions I would of asked which I already had to previous nights member of staff I found it slightly annoying other then that I had a great stay and if in the area again I would definitely stay here.

Stayed with them kids for few nights away. What an amazing time we had staff just fab arrived at 3 where I think Kirsty checked us in and when asked where to head gave us some great advice with also fish and chips from Arnside. Room was lovely and warm very clean and also away from the road which made our stay really nice. Natasha on check out was really helpful as we wanted to head South to Lancaster to visit the castle, there were direction printed to help. We would definitely use again. Thanks for a great stay !!!

I met Stuart the South African guy he brightened up my night when I couldn’t sleep. He is such a peaceful good guy. He was always happy to answer questions and happy to serve a very tired traveller. Thank you Travelodge and thank you Stuart. I will definitely be back

The Burton M6 Northbound was generally a little tired looking with worn carpets and a musty smell. The room we were assigned had bits all over the carpet, suggesting poor housekeeping, and we were changed to another room which was better. I thought all Travelodge hotels had kingsize beds, but not this one - and for some reason the spare bed was erected in both rooms, even though we had not said we needed it. Travelodge does represent good value for money, and this wasn't awful - but I would say it was slightly below average of those I have stayed in.
