The expirence and ambience of No. Twenty9 is lovely from the monent you enter the building, we have stayed here twice and not been disappointed, the accomodation in the rear garden is beautiful presented and well looked after, we stayed in Sinatra and Andressa both offering great facilities. We will return in the future. thank you.

I booked in advance for a family reunion of 6. Our welcome was tepid, we were placed in a hot stuffy, unventilated private room, which we hadn’t requested. No explanation given. The general feeling conveyed was that we were a bit of an inconvenience. And for the price we paid the food was just OK. I wouldn’t rush back.

This restaurant has deteriorated in service significantly over last few visits. QR codes for ordering with difficult WiFi a place now lacking the personality that once made it special. Food still very good but not a welcoming pkacd fit families

What a beautiful hotel and restaurant set in a lovely market town. The detailed design is stunning and the rooms were also lovely. I would highly recommend a stay here.

My wife and I have eaten here many times. We very much like everything about the restaurant. Not least the very good food. However, I regret to say we are unlikely to go back. It’s because of the prices. £40 for a steak (which are extremely good) is the tipping point for us. Even though this price is relatively competitive. I fully understand that the ever increasing financial pressures of running such a restaurant are the main factors . The last government budget, I believe, took costs and subsequent retail prices over a threshold that many of us can’t justify. However, I very much hope that this restaurant continues to do well. There are enough wealthy people who live in or visit the area who will suck up the prices.

Tricky. My wife and I just spent a night there as a special festive treat at an overall cost of nearly £500 for bed, board and drinks. We thoroughly enjoyed the good food and ambience but the experience was very much spoiled by an unnecessary stand-off with the owner over an extra £30 charge for a very marginally late checkout due to an otherwise pleasant slow service breakfast. First time that this has happened to me in over 30 years of travelling and it was the manner of the owner that was the worst of it. Be warned, apparently the £30 charge clicks in every half hour and the whole thing could easily have been avoided.
