Tricky. My wife and I just spent a night there as a special festive treat at an overall cost of nearly £500 for bed, board and drinks. We thoroughly enjoyed the good food and ambience but the experience was very much spoiled by an unnecessary stand-off with the owner over an extra £30 charge for a very marginally late checkout due to an otherwise pleasant slow service breakfast. First time that this has happened to me in over 30 years of travelling and it was the manner of the owner that was the worst of it. Be warned, apparently the £30 charge clicks in every half hour and the whole thing could easily have been avoided.

Love this place have stayed few times amazing rooms outstanding service staff so friendly & helpful amazing food dog friendly can’t wait till I am back again in Dec.Happened to catch one for the live music events Dirty Havana great evening in the bar

Last week we were supposed to spend a few nights in the hotel when I was told that my mum passed away overseas suddenly. My husband called and wrote to the hotel to inform them. They refused to postpone our booking for another date after we come back. I think this is appalling behaviour

This year we only used the bar area every time we went into Burnham Market which was most days and was completely satisfied with choice of alcohol and the helpful knowledge of the area from the friendly staff. We will be back in a few months to replenish:)

Second time of staying @ No. Twenty9 in Burnham Market, for 3 nights. Once again terrific food, (fire pit cooking is fantastic) excellent & friendly staff and extraordinary accommodation. It really doesn’t get any better! Thank you, Tim, and your team. We’ll be back!

Just spent a lovely night at twenty9. Escorted to our room - Brando. Met by a thoughtful cocktail, ice in the bucket and a beautifully presented room. All the furnishings you would expect but nice touches with high end robes, waters, coffee, tea etc.. Fit for Marlon Brando himself.

Stayed for a night on Friday 31st May for our Anniversary. Could not fault any element of our stay, the room and bar was superb. Although we ate elsewhere in the evening, we did spend time in the bar and the breakfast in the morning was again marvellous. Would we stay again? - absolutely. Drinks are expensive, but you are at a superb place and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

This is a really special hotel. The staff are a credit to the business being very friendly and willing to go the extra mile for customers. The setting is delightful with bi folding doors to the restaurant opening onto ( whilst we were there) a very sunny courtyard. The rooms are very tastefully finished with all luxuries that you could ever wish for. Meals were great - the hotel was busy which added to the vibe. We took dinner on two occasions and the food quality was excellent. Breakfast was lovely - very ample in quantity and of high quality. All in all a lovely experience staying at No 29.

Booked a King Room. Arrived to find out the room was actually a double, room was also advertised as having a separate bath and shower, there was only a shower. We specifically booked the room for the bath due to a disability. When explaining the issue, the staff pushed the blame to *******, blaming that they listed the room incorrectly. As expected for a bank holiday weekend they were fully booked so couldn't move us but didn't offer us any form of alternative solution and just said we need to contact *******. We were left with no option but to leave and cancel our bank holiday weekend plans. For a premium price the customer service certainly is not premium. I highly advise the owners to have an audit and ensure any listing for the accommodation is accurate to prevent any inadvertent ableism.
