Buffalo Safari Lodge

My husband and I spent two nights of our honeymoon here and it was lovely. The room was big and the furnishings were beautiful. An elephant walked right past our terrace while we were sitting having a beer and a water buck sat quietly on the lawn while we walked by. At dinner, a family of mongoose marched right past us. It’s like staying in the wilderness!

I can’t recommend Buffalo Safaris enough! From start to finish, the experience was top-notch. Odeth was a rockstar from the moment we made our booking – she went above and beyond to ensure our trip would be amazing. The communication was flawless, and Odeth really made sure we were taken care of every step of the way. When we arrived at the lodge, we were greeted with such warmth by the on-the-ground team. The entire crew was so friendly and helpful, which made us feel at home right away. The cottages were absolutely stunning—comfortable, spacious, and well-equipped. The beds were super cozy, the bathrooms were roomy and immaculate, and everything was in perfect condition. Plus, the food was incredible, and the swimming pool was beautiful! The next day, we went on a game drive with “Mark the guide”, who was incredibly knowledgeable and always willing to answer our questions. His passion for the wildlife and the area really shone through. Even when his shift had technically ended, Mark was more than happy to join us for the boat cruise, which just shows how dedicated he was to make our experience special. Throughout our stay, the Buffalo team made us feel so valued, and the follow-up after the trip from Odeth just reinforced how much they genuinely care about their guests. Special thanks to Francis, the owner, for running such a fantastic operation, and to Odeth, Jesca, Gordard, and of course, Mark. You all made our trip unforgettable, and we can’t wait to visit again! Best vacation spot in Uganda, the rooms were spacious and big, cool air inside, we had double rooms with 4 balconies, 2 br. Security is provided for walking to eat and back to the room and they have great attitudes. The employees are all respectful and fulfilled every request asked and were polite. The best guest experience we’ve had at a hotel/lodge. The food is amazing and has variety, 3 course meals. Jesca, Don, Shiela were all especially amazing. We came from Maryland, US and it was such a wonderful experience and we hope to be back soon.

Shout out to the management for training their workers to such high standards. I was so pleased with place. I recommend tourists to visit this place while in uganda.

Buffalo lodge has been great experience from the hotel to the food and experiencing and seeing the animals in the wild. Like seeing waterback Buffalos. To lepeored and Lion. And the views are excellent with amazing sunset veiw in the poolWould love to come back again and will soon again

The rooms were impeccable and spacious, the food was delicious with a range of local and western dishes and the staff were couldn’t fault. The lodge itself is incredible with elephants sometimes roaming around and the pool a great place to animal watch.
