Pumba Safari Cottages

Nice rooms with great view on the national park! Close to the village, just 5 minutes walk. Good restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

It's hard to believe this place is considered a budget lodge. The park view is breathtaking and unforgettable. Also, many animals come to visit often. The facilities are nice and clean, the food is great and the staff is friendly, helpful and speak great english. Prices are also fair. We've never stayed in a place like this and highly recommend Pumba to everyone.

We booked this accommodation based on reviews. Unfortunately we didn't love the rooms. They are in need of updating. The shower in particular was grim. The view was amazing and the staff are what made it enjoyable.

Pumba Safari Cottages is an absolute treasure! The location is fantastic — right by Lake Manyara National Park — giving you that feeling of being surrounded by nature yet with all the comforts you need. The cottages are clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The hosts and staff are exceptional — warm, welcoming, and always going the extra mile to make sure you feel at home. The food was another highlight: fresh, tasty, and plentiful, with a touch of local flavor. What we loved most was the peaceful atmosphere — it’s the kind of place where you can truly relax and recharge after a safari day. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic, cozy, and friendly stay near Manyara. We would definitely return!

Great place! Affordable - student friendly prices. The most kind and welcoming people working here. Beautiful view. Delicious food. Beautiful cottages😍 I think it’s owned by a local - so that is great too! Perfect place for a family, couples, backpackers (young people) and so on!

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Liked the welcome touch. Food was delicious Beautiful view over the savanna of the park. Love the accommodation. Comfortable bed. Water and shower good. Close to Kazinga Channel and park in general. Will be back.
