Slackwater Inn

This hotel is small and close to a highway but there’s no noise and it’s actually quite cozy. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom was also nice. Checking in was a challenge but only because I used a wrong mobile number - I called them and got the key code very fast (we had booked only hours before arriving)

The Inn is generally motel-style lodging. The entire check-in and check-out process was handled by email and text. Parking is in the front of the building and you can easily park right in front of your room. We booked the 3-BR apartment for our stay. It was generously sized and had both a high-efficiency washer and dryer available for use. One nice touch was that each bedroom had beds for your canine companions, and the back door had a doggie door leading to a small fenced yard. There are very few dining options within walking distance so plan accordingly.

Firstly, I’m not sure why this says it’s in Georgia, as I stayed in Buena Vista, Colorado. My friend and I stayed the night in the middle of the week at the start of the summer. The room seemed relatively clean, no dirt on the floor, or bugs, and the bathroom was clean as well. Check in was easy, and the decor was fun, although the room was a bit dark without any natural light from outside once the sun went down, even with all three lights and the TV on. The on-site manager was fast and friendly when my friend and I asked for fresh sheets, seeing as ours were dirty. We also had a bit of a mix up with the partial refund offered to us due to the dirty sheets. While the inn is back from the road, there is still sound that gets through of semis on the highway during the night. We had a bit of an awkward conversation that morning when the housekeeper arrived to clean our room after we’d just returned to it, and were preparing to check out within the half hour.
