Nothing to recommend here. 5 floors without elevator, and no AC in the rooms. The mattress is clearly from Art Deco times, and the pillows were not actual pillows. The phone in the room had not line and it was impossible to contact the reception. The only way was to use your own phone and find a number (which you will only get by asking), to call. Good luck with that. Not even a water bottle in the room. Plenty of mosquitoes.

A wonderful place to stay. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The rooms were clean and well kept. The meals were superb. The cook prepared them fresh. My wife is gluten intolerant and the food was good for her. I would whole heartedly recommend this hotel. It is a short walk to the metro or 30 minutes from the Centre of Brussels.

When I see high ratings I always wonder who all these people who write positive reviews, and what is their life experience? The hotel is overrated. Two nights in this hotel appeared to be dangerous, and I would like to warn the others. So, two main problems: bedbugs. I suffer badly. First time something like this happened to me. If you don't want to experience the same, stay away from the hotel. Second very serious problem: badly working electricity system (see pic attached). Though I filed a complaint stating that the electric wire/cable was cracking, my complaint was just ignored. A man at the reception looked at me as a stupid, stating that everything was normal. For him maybe, but for people sleeping in the hotel it could be their last night alive. And other minor problems: poor and unprofessional cleaning and extreme noise. You will have an impression that other people live in your room, and probably they think the same.

Do not stay here if you want sleep or privacy. Unprofessional staff and set up. Constant noise: every step & stomp is audible (and no lift, so perpetual stair noises), constant slamming doors, construction, church bells, music blasting in the hallways early in the morning. When I called downstairs to ask about the music, it was too noisy for the front desk to even hear me. I barely slept. Then someone walked in on me changing despite a DO NOT DISTURB sign - and me telling them I needed a moment. Not even a hand towel in the bathroom. I wouldn’t even leave my luggage here. The only hotel I’ve ever wanted a refund from. It’s a hole in the wall, and not in the cute boutique way. I ended up getting a day hotel instead of enjoying my one day in Brussels, so that I could get just a bit of rest. Horrible experience.

Hotel art déco juste excellent... très bien conservé/restauré... un petit hôtel intimiste... super bien placé en hyper centre... Une patronne à l'écoute et très accueillante.... Les chambres sont confortables, on n'a pas eu celle avec la baignoire à pied.... mais on était ravi des nôtres même si elles sont un peu petite... l'ambiance dans la partie Taverne est extra... on se croirait dans les années 30, si vous aimez comme nous l'art déco c'est l hotel qu'il vous faut! Ne pas manquez une bonne bière dans laTaverne avant d'aller se coucher....

Nous avons séjourné une nuit dans cet établissement... Hôtel typique,chambre correct, salle de bain plutôt sympathique,la vue pas terrible(mais c est un détail) central a proximité de la grand place ... Hôtel sans ascenseur il n y a que 9 chambres😉 Le Monsieur qui nous a accueilli était vraiment très sympathique,le petit déjeuner excellent !bon rapport qualité prix,je recommande fortement cet établissement 🙂

Ottimo hotel nel centro di bruxelles gentile la ragazza in reception che ci ha spiegato in inglese come poter entrare ed uscire fuori orario e si è pure scusata perchè la struttura essendo vecchia è sprovvista di ascensore...nella data del 15 maggio c'erano purtroppo lavori in corso quindi nelle due camere visitare, aprendo la finestra ci si trovava l'impalcatura dei lavori e in una stanza (del mio amico) un cambio d'aria era d'obbligo , c era un po' troppa umidità e odore di chiuso. ma nel sommato un ottimo hotel a buon prezzo che consiglio a coppie e non solo..... dimenticavo, la nostra stanza (mia e della mia fidanzata) aveva un vetro sulla doccia in comune con la camera, quindi per giovani coppie, un po' di pepe e spettacolo =)

Das Zimmer war sauber, das Bett gemütlich. Das was wichtig ist! (Ein Decke für 2 Personen sollte erwähnt werden, falls jemand mit 'nem Deckenräuber schläft.) Kissen waren für mein Geschmack zu klein, aber das ist für mich kein Grund eine Bewertung besser oder schlechter zu schreiben. Das Frühstück ist super, mit 15€ pro Person ist hier aber eine Schmerzgrenze... wir haben es am zweiten Tag woanders versucht... im Nachhinein ein Fehler. Als wir da waren, war das Hotel eingerüstet, lange schlafen ging nicht. Man war sehr bemüht trotzdem zuvorkommend zu sein, was auch relativ gut geklappt hat. Es leidet natürlich das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Für die Unannehmlichkeiten wurde uns wurde der Frühstückspreis erlassen (was wir erst bei Abreise erfahren haben.) Sehr wichtiger Hinweis: Die Steckdosen funktionieren nur mit Licht an, was das Handy laden über Nacht eher unmöglich macht... Wir haben dann doch eine noch eine Steckdose gefunden, die immer Strom hatte ;) Normalerweise 4 Punkte, wegen der Baustelle nur 3

Prachtig art deco hotel in het centrum van Brussel. Alles op loopafstand en Metro vlakbij. Erg aardig personeel. Elke dag fris linnen. Ontbijt was teleurstellend voor de prijs. Geen buffet zoals overal te lezen is. Geen waterglazen of kopjes op de kamer. Geen mogelijkheid om zelf koffie/thee te maken. Het was erg warm op de kamer. De t****e dag was beter omdat we het raam open hadden gezet en de ventilator constant aan hadden. Prima hotel voor 1 of 2 nachten.
