Hotel le Centenaire Brussels Expo

First off, the room was filthy, covered in dust, dirt and generally just falling apart. The toilet seat was like something from a horror movie. There is a connecting door with a large gap at the bottom between the room we were given and the guests next door and it's possible to hear every single word and movement the neighbours make. It's as if they are in your room. Choosing this place for it's location was the main reason we booked but we were unable to stay at the hotel due to the fact just moments after getting into bed we felt the bed bugs coming out and crawling all over us. Given the fact I am in the hotel business myself i gave the hotel the benefit of the doubt (hotels everywhere can face the plague of bedbugs) but after noticing the bugs I checked the mattress and can assure you that this hotel has had this problem for a long time and clearly chooses not to take the action necessary to eradicate the infestation. The bugs were large and their colony very well established. Upon reporting this to the front desk staff they first tried claiming the bugs had flown in from the window (not a chance that this could be the case) and then they stated they would refund us and we could go elsewhere. Despite this being a huge inconvenience we left and found another hotel to stay at. 2 months  after our stay there is still no sign of our refund and getting straight answers is impossible, so we have paid for 3 nights in a hotel where we spent a total of 1 hour. The management of this place is frankly embarrassing and it's clear they have only 1 thing in mind, taking as much money as possible from their so called guests. I highly recommend you do not make the mistake we did and you find yourself another hotel in the area. This place is not worth it and it's certainly not worth the risk of taking these bedbugs home with you as although you may save a few cents off the cost of the hotel, getting your house treated for Bed Bugs will set you back hundreds of Euros at the very least. Truly the most shocking part of this whole ordeal is the fact that the hotel thinks it's acceptable to charge us in full and refuse a refund.

très déçu par cet hôtel où j'ai passé 3 nuits. je crois le pire que j'ai pu fréquenter et croyez moi, j'en ai vu des hôtels dans ma longue vie.... dès l'arrivée ça commence - pas de parking, il faut se garer dans la rue au risque du PV (j'y ai échappé)....La réceptionniste veut refuser mon chien alors que les animaux de compagnie étaient acceptés lors de la réservation....oui mais entre temps ça aurait changé me dit elle....je manifeste mon mécontentement et finalement après avoir sollicité son chef, la dame accepte moyennant 25 euros par nuité... supplément normal mais c'est plus que deux fois le prix en France, je râle et finalement elle accepte de réduire à 20 euros par nuité......j'avais payé d'avance à la réservation, il était trop tard pour trouver un autre hôtel. direction le 3ème étage sans ascenseur avec un vieil escalier hyper raide et étroit, recouvert d'une moquette dégueulasse. Arrivé dans une chambre minuscule (mansardée, sans fenêtre à part un velux, loin des 12m2 annoncés) question propreté ça allait mais matelas très fatigué. hyper bruyant d'une part à cause des cloisons hyper fines donc non isolantes, bruit du tram qui passe sans cesse et pétaradage des voitures et motos tard dans la nuit. Au final les points positifs sont un personnel discret mais aimable et un petit déjeuner agréable pris avant mon départ. ça ne suffira pas pour y retourner.

Nous avons réservé une chambre avec un lit double. Quelle surprise de voir que c'était 2 lits séparés . Les chambres sont séparées par une simple porte aucune intimité : on entend les autres clients montés les escaliers et les conversations des voisins . De plus , le déjeuner laissait à désirer : peu de choix , qualité très médiocre. Le seul point positif c'est qu'il est bien situer pour visiter l'atomnium et les concerts.
