Abbots Grange Manor House

My sister and I stayed at Abbots Grange last year after it was recommended to us by our brother. We loved it so much that we returned this month! It really is just the perfect retreat and location for popping into Broadway village as it's literally a few steps away but still quiet. It is secluded and set in a large beautiful well kept garden of approximately 8 acres, that you can freely roam. The bedrooms have been clean and traditionally decorated with lovely views of the garden and surrounding countryside. You can expect a welcome glass of bubbly upon arrival (& also a bottle of champagne on ice in your room if you book directly with them). They serve complimentary scrumptious cake and tea/coffee every afternoon between 3-5. The owners, Richard and Topsy live in a separate part of the Grange and are very welcoming (as are all the staff, especially Stacey). They are always on hand in the evening keeping the firepit in the garden and roaring fire in the Great Hall, topped up with logs. The breakfasts are AMAZING! Lots of choice and well cooked. They kept us going until dinner! The breakfast ladies were all lovely, friendly and efficient. We shall definitely return next year!

Abbots Grange is a magical experience. A manor house steeped in history and tradition with wonderful touches. We stayed in the Elizabethan suite and you could imagine Queen Elizabeth I sleeping in the same four poster bed. The staff were attentive and very helpful, and the location is minutes away from the High Street of Broadway. Highly recommended as a base to explore the beautiful Cotswold villages

What a place, so beautiful and comfortable yet 700 years old. Our room was the finest we’ve stayed in at any hotel, the bed and bath were wonderful, and the staff were gracious and professional. The location is bucolic, and a short walk to pubs, shops, and restaurants.

This place is so unique with history and beauty and the staff make your stay special. We were so pleased with our stay. The grounds were so well maintained. You couldn't keep from walking around and find one of the many places to relax and take pictures.

Just a beautiful, relaxing place to stay. Abbots Grange is nestled away from the main street but just a 2 minute walk through the garden gate to get to main (High street). We stayed in the carriage room which was separate from the main house. It was beautiful! Our room looked out over the countryside with our own private patio. Breathtaking. The breakfast was delicious with many nice hot and cold choices. My only suggestion for the manager which actually affected me greatly, but not enough to give it less than five stars was the sensor that you have in the room that when someone gets out of bed, a bright white light goes on. In theory, I guess it’s good so that people don’t fall. But unfortunately, even if I moved around in bed and did not get out of bed, that light went on so all night long, that bright light kept going on and off and waking me up. That is really my only complaint because everything else was just wonderful.

Abbot’s Grange as a destination has an amazing historical past. As you sit in the lounge dating back to 1307 it is hard to imagine the transformation the house has undergone. It simply checks all the boxes!! Fabulous spacious bedrooms, beautiful gardens, wonderful breakfasts and an ideal location in the Cotswolds. Run by a family that leave no stone unturned to make you feel special. Greeted on arrival with a wonderful glass of champagne and in you book directly - you have a bottle in your room. It was our favorite stay in a two week tour of the UK. Please don’t change a thing! Allan

We had a wonderful stay and would love to visit the Grange again. The staff were all so helpful, friendly and welcoming. It was so sweet to receive a box chocolates for our wedding anniversary. We loved the Abbots Chamber, it was both quirky and luxurious. The little touches such as the welcome tray and Molton Brown toiletries made it very special. The great hall was lovely to relax in, especially when served coffee and cake in front of the fire. The hotel is a beautiful, historic retreat, ideally located in the village

We had a wonderful stay at this excellent hotel. After driving in we were captivated by the beautiful building bathed in soft October sunlight. We were welcomed with a glass of champagne before being shown to our well appointed rooms complete with four poster beds, a lovely seating area overlooking the grounds and a generous en suite bathroom. Once we were settled in we adjourned to the vaulted great room for afternoon tea and cake. Abbots Grange has the wonderful advantage of being a property that is steeped in history with extensive views over the surrounding countryside offering tennis, croquet and lovely outdoor seating areas but it is only a two minute walk from town so it offers the best of both worlds. Service is impeccable. The staff are clearly well trained to ensure that your stay is enjoyable which ours was. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast and found the servers to be very accommodating and pleasant. This property has an understated luxury and elegance with no stuffiness. The location is superb, the setting is glorious, and the staff are first class. If you are heading to the Cotswolds treat yourself to a night or two at Abbots Grange Manor. You will not be disappointed.

We spent 3 relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable nights here recently. The rooms are spacious, extremely clean and comfortable. The views are incredible. It was just such a peaceful retreat. The service is gracious and welcoming. The breakfast is delicious and plentiful. The location is perfect for easy access to shopping in the village or adventures to the surrounding countryside. We wouldn’t change a thing and hope to be back soon!
