Room is ok, no heating as it done off a central boiler in the reception. Breakfast is a disaster. They want your order and time for breakfast the night before, we waited 45 minutes the next morning for it to arrive after asking 7 or 8 times where it was. It is a small breakfast room so not busy.

Breakfast is shambolic! We were asked to fill in a breakfast request form in arrival to choose our time and breakfast choices. Arrived at dining room on time- no table for 4 available, had to sit separately from the rest of our party- somewhat defeating the purpose of going away together. No one asked our room number. Waited 30 minutes and still no breakfast had arrived. Eventually brought out freezing cold toast…no butter. Waited another 10 minutes for the butter then had to wait longer after I requested fresh toast. It was disorganised and chaotic. Took 45 minutes to have breakfast which wasn’t ideal when we had plans. Room was huge, as was the bed…but no heating- so we had to ask at reception for the heating to be switched on. It was cold again in the morning though. Only 1 large towel supplied to a double room so had to request more towels. All in all, the hotel is dated and shabby as well as poorly run.

Stunning hotel in the middle of beautiful countryside. Cleanliness 10 out of 10, rooms very spacious, comfortable & had all the amenities, tea & coffee etc. Front desk, Paula so incredibly friendly & professional, a true asset to the hotel.

Visiting for business purposes two nice pubs near by where the food is cheaper than here, I found the room cold heating is turned off, well it is July but it's cold here needs heating, windows are old and draughty also rattle in the wind, food overpriced, had biscuits in my room the first night only a pack of 3, but none the second night. Not my first choice back to premier inn for me

An excellent hotel on the outskirts of Bristol, with a bus stop outside where you can catch a bus into the city. I had a lovely room in the annexe, which had an ultra modern bathroom. The staff were very friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. Just a shame that I couldn't take advantage of the restaurant, which is closed at the weekend. I will rectify this when I return!

We have friends who live nearby so this location was great for us, but we were very pleasantly surprised by the hotel. Our room was enormous and beautifully set out, with a comfortable bed and sofas and a modern bathroom. We didn't have breakfast but it smelled delicious. The building is historical and has it's fair share of creaks and groans, we loved the old furniture and were fascinated by the gong. Next time we will stay a little longer and explore Blaise Castle and park.

The hotel is tired and in need of renovation and requires an injection of atmosphere. The breakfast and dinner were very good and well presented which was a bonus. Our room was very cold overnight and in need of renovation, the bathroom was good. When I booked online with Best Western it stated my debit card would be charged after checkin, in fact it was charged before we arrived which is misleading and dishonest. I highlight this as my husband needed to pay for the room.

Only visited for one night, to set the context, an inexpensive hotel, geared for short non tourist stays, so this would put their competition as the usual roadside selection. I chose it as the photos looked nice - it was only for one night, thought worth taking a punt, the location was perfect for my meeting next day. If you think of it as a bed and breakfast ‘slash’ hotel then you won’t be far from the mark. The whole building is quirky, bedrooms are also individual, this is a nice thing, not the square boxes normally on offer for these sort of stays. Room was spacious, very clean, everything i needed was there, very quiet. Bar was nice, lovely comfy sofas, nice glass of red after a long drive I opted for the cooked breakfast, strange, had to fill in an order form, but this meant the food was all freshly cooked, no line of dry stale food, lovely food. Staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. In short for those one night business trips to Bristol this hotel comes recommended.

Stayed here for two nights, room was lovely and everything you needed, bathroom was beautiful all lovely and clean they even provided moisturiser with the toiletries. Breakfast was amazing and plentiful, breakfast staff were lovely, couldn't do enough for you. All the staff were friendly and always smiling. Well stocked bar.I would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in Bristol thank you for having us hope to stay again soon.
