Beautiful location with excellent restaurants within walking distance. The Ticino Pass allowed unlimited travel on the local buses. Made it very easy to get around. Visited mountain villages with incredible scenery. Also enjoyed the Ascona jazz festival.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Very comfortable and immaculate room. Stunning view of the lake from the hotel bar terrace. Would definitely go back to this hotel.

...but I'll try: Breathtaking. Otherworldly. Exclusive. Sybaritic. Attention to detail, kind and impeccable service, doors like bulkheads and solid as the wall safe in the room, ship-shape fittings and ambience, breakfasts fit for a king - or an admiral, if you will. All of this for the fortunate few who discover (and gain entrée) to this unique haven directly on Lago Maggiore. Truly unforgettable.

Kleines Boutique Hotel direkt am See. Ein Hotel mit viel Ruhe, ohne nervige Animation und laute Musik. Man kann sich gut erholen und die Natur geniessen. Wir haben es genossen direkt im See schwimmen zu können, und mussten daher nie in die überfüllte Badi/Lido gehen. Es war viel schöner gleich beim Hotel zu baden. Die Angestellten sowie auch die Besitzer sind alle sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Monica ist die gute Seele des Hauses und schaut überall zum Rechten. Auch die Besitzer sind tolle Leute und kümmern sich um alle Belange der Gäste. Das Frühstück war ausgezeichnet und die Aussicht von der Terrasse atemberaubend. Wir machen oft Urlaub, meistens im Ausland. Aber hierher möchte ich unbedingt wieder zurück kommen. Ich hoffe das ist nächstes Jahr möglich und die Weltlage/Gesundheit etc. lässt es zu. Ich empfehle im Sommer die Zimmer mit Klimaanlage, da es sonst sehr heiss wird. Busstation direkt vor dem Hotel. Leider fahren nur wenige Busse nach Locarno, daher sind diese extrem überfüllt. Gerade in der Hochsaison etwas unangenehm mit dem ganzen Gepäck.

Im September, ausserhalb Ferienzeit, wirklich empfehlenswert. Super Frühstück bis 12 Uhr, richtig Ferien! Kleiner privater Strand sehr angenehm. Alle sehr hilfsbereit und unkompliziert. Zimmer mit Balkon und direkt auf See-Seite (Strasse ist hinter).
