Room smelled like sewage and they couldn’t change my room even though I asked before trip My clothes held stain and I had to buy new clothes. Disgusting Don’t know how this place gets such good reviews Service at bar very nice They wouldn’t let me check in 10 minutes prior to 3pm I would never stay here again Best part of hotel is tennis court

I took a large group of Yogis on retreat for a week at Casa De Olas and we had an amazing time! The staff was really nice with some English speakers that helped with organization, the facilities were great and the yoga shala was perfect for our group of 30. We will be back!

The hotel is well located, beautiful, clean. The swimming pool is fantastic. Food service is restrict, but the quality above my expectations. They offer excursions at a better price than those I found at the internet. The problem: all the time there is some music playing loud. Usually bad music. They should learn that, at a noisy world, silence is gold. They could encourage those guests who want to hear music to use each one’s device – with earphone, of course, to avoid disturbing the others. In favour of the hotel, I must say that they turned off the sound as soon as I asked to (why didn’t I asked before?). Then all of a sudden we start listening to the birds; a wonderful, peaceful atmosphere was installed. Hotel Casa de Olas remains a solid choice for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Puerto Escondido. I recommend it to fellow travelers seeking a well-located, clean, and overall positive lodging experience
