Goldfield Holiday Units

Fabulous spacious well equiped self contained apartments with the beautiful river at your back door and a short walk to the centre of town. Sam and Marco are super friendly and very accomodating and lovely hosts. We loved our 2 weeks here and will return to take in a different season. Great value apartments with everything you need for a short or long stay like us. Sam and Marco will cater for long stay and do a mid stay clean and replenishment.

Very friendly host who went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. When we arrived it was a cosy welcome as heat was already turned on. Very neat and tidy accomodation and it is very close ( walking distance ) to restaurants and shops . Beautiful scenery and trails to go for walk.

I highly recommend the Goldfield Holiday Units. It’s an easy stroll into town either via the main road or the path along the ovens river as parking in town on weekends is rather difficult. We were able to enjoy dinner and a few drinks without the issue of needing to drive back to our accommodation. Sam and Marco made you feel like a part of the family and have great knowledge of the area but most importantly, where to get a great coffee in town.

This is a very difficult one for me to review. The place is lovely and our room had been recently renovated. The issue was that we booked a SPA unit, and as part of the renovations 12 months ago, the SPA was removed. When we arrived we questioned the owners about this, and they said that they were trying to get ******* to update their online booking and were very frustrated that it wasn't getting updated. The issue is that their own private website also listed our unit as still a SPA unit. The owners were kind enough to supply us with a free bottle of Red wine to us to apologise for our inconvenience which was nice. I have waited 4 weeks to post this review, and upon checking today, the unit is still listed on their personal website as a SPA unit. Very disappointing, because the apartment is lovely, but it is false advertising, and the website needs to be updated. If they can update their website, I would gladly give them a 5 star rating.

If you want a beautiful spot for rest and relaxation Goldfields is the place. Charming hosts, spotless apartments and on the doorstep of the Ovens River. There are only 6 apartments with all facilities. 2 bedrooms and a kitchenette. Number 6 apartment has been totally refurbished in a very modern and stylish style. It has one bedroom, a kitchenette with all facilities and a huge bathroom with a rain shower It was a joy to stay there. We would thoroughly recommend the place for couples. A short stroll along the river will take you into the gorgeous village with quality shops, 2 hotels as well as a cinema and 2 supermarkets. We came home refreshed and with a good dose of mountain air. Thanks a million to Marco and Sam. Nicole and Peter
