Krone Eat Drink Stay

We stayed here for 3 nights in October 2024 as a part of a group tour. It is in a good location within easy walking distance to attractions. We were in room 225, which is a big room with a comfortable side chair and small sofa. There is lots of cabinet space, shelves and a desktop. There is a plug by each bed side (no USB). The bed is a low double bed, comfortable, but with only 2 pillows (1 each). The shower was small, but functional. Soap products were squeeze bottles in shower and by sink. It has a towel warmer. The view is into the building next door. There is an old church to the left out the windows and a busy (bikes and pedestrians) small street below the room. The drapes are not blackout, so the room has light during the night. The room was warm despite the cool temps outside, but the room had a floor fan in the closet to make it more comfortable. We could only open the windows for a short while as the smoke from the nearby chimneys entered the room. Breakfast was good, with lots of basic European options plus scrambled eggs and meat. Other groups were there with our group, so it was often crowded. There are lots of tables, there was just lines to get to the food and beverages. My favorite thing about this hotel was the free apples left in the room each night, plus a basket of apples at the front desk incase 1 a day is not enough. This is apple country, and the apples were good. Our group ate in the restaurant one night, and I had issues with the English translation on the menu, getting something I did not really like in my dish. Another guest in our group ordered a steak and was not served until everyone else in our group had finished eating. There are lots of good restaurants within walking distance, so I would recommend eating dinner elsewhere.

A lovely modern hotel in the center of Brixen. A couple of issues to be aware of, though: The Wifi in the rooms is very weak. The rooms facing the street get a lot of noise from the outdoor seats of the restaurant, both in the evening and morning, as well as from passers-by. Since the hotel does not have air conditioning, this is an issue in the warmer months when you need the windows open.

This hotel is centrally located just out of the old town, so most attractions, shops and restaurants are in walking distance. Being rated 4* (which is about right) they have some strange practises, such as charging for bath robes. We had booked a superior room with balkony which was quite spacious, particularly the bathroom. Breakfast was average and unfeeling. Whilst parking in the hotel's garage is only charged at €10, the room prices are rather steep.

We love staying here. The Resch's are amiable hosts. The Hotel has been updated and we had one of the new suites. The materials used for decoration and the bedding are exquisite. Modern and yet very cozy. Lots of beautiful wood and designer accessories. The breakfast Buffet is wonderful and leaves no wishes open. Cuisine is typical and creative. Wine selection is awesome. We enjoy the aperativo on the outside terrace. The Bike Hotel does really cool tours in the outlying mountains and through the vinyards. Parking on and off site offer safe place for your vehicle. A small but nice Wellness area is available too. 200 Yards into the City Center with Lots of cool Shops and flair.

Die Lage des Hotels ist nicht zu toppen und das hat halt auch seinen Preis. Die Mitarbeiterin am Empfang war sehr freundlich. Das Hotel entspricht in keinster Weise einem 4* Hotel - meiner Meinung nach. Es handelt sich um ein augenscheinlich altes Zimmer, welches mit liebevollen Details aufgehübscht wurde; trotzdem fehlt es an "Kleinigkeiten", die es zu einem 4* Hotel machen. Der Fernseher ist total überholt, viel zu klein; das Badezimmer mit seinem hohen Badewanneneinstieg nicht mehr zeitgemäß und ein Wasserkocher wäre z.B. auch eine gute Idee. Ob das Restaurant zum Hotel dazugehört oder separat geführt wird... keine Ahnung, jedenfalls wollten wir dort essen gehen, hatten aber den Eindruck das Personal bei wichtigen Gesprächen zu stören und sind wieder gegangen.

Stanza spaziosa e molto bella. Per 2/4 persone. L'armadio però è sufficiente per una persona al massimo. Abbiamo soggiornato in agosto. Caldissimo. Abbiamo scoperto in loco che l'albergo è sprovvisto di aria condizionata. Infatti hanno messo un piccolo ventilatore. La stanza comunque caldissima. Impossibile soggiornarvi fino a tardo pomeriggio. Stanza con giardino, bello. Peccato che sia condiviso con altre tre stanze e non ci sia un minimo di divisione tra una stanza e l'altra. Il giardino confina con il frutteto di una casa di fronte, c'è una ringhiera e nessuna siepe o paravento per garantire un minimo di privacy. Da un hotel a quattro stelle ci si aspetta un po' di più. La colazione però ottima e molto varia. Il personale di sala estremamente gentile.
