Wifi cannot be connected at room and breakfast buffet choices are little. The toilet at the room is small, but the decorations at the hotel are traditional and classic.

hotel building is very nice located in front of harbour in a small town. room is not big. bed is a bit soft. restaurant is reasonable.

Very helpful staff on a range of travel information, fantastic. The location beside the harbour beautiful and access to northern lights viewing with excellent staff guidance on where to try. Food delicious for dinner and breakfast. Rooms comfy quite clean and functional, warm shower, hot if you want, good WiFi

I stayed here for one night as part of an organized tour. The wood-paneled room was cozy and rustic, and the breakfast was lovely. The staff were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. I especially appreciated the two big, comfy pillows on each bed; most hotels I've been to only provide one flat pillow per person. The harbor is right outside the guesthouse, bringing a refreshing breeze from the waters. I really enjoyed my stay here.

We had to stop in this hotel as they closed the main road through the east fiords. The hotel was not cheap, but the room was confortable and clean. There was coffee and tea, and a boiler. No fridge and no TV. The man at the reception was overworked, (as many tourist arrived there at the same time when they realised the road was closed) and he was very helpful. The only missing thing in the room was the fridge an the TV, and may be for the price we paid, breakfast should have been included. It's located in a lovely village that deserves a visit.

Visited this Quaint Hotel for a meal whilst touring the island,also enquired about accommodation here.Food was quite good,but was nearly put off my meal by a very rude rough looking heavily tattooed man at the check in desk who also had an awful huge ring embedded in his nose! Yuck! How/Why is He working here?He was Very Rude,disrespectful had a bad attitude.I would never stay here if he was on site.

Would have surely given Excellent rating but for the limited breakfast spread. The main building is close to the harbour and over 100 years old but restored & maintained beautifully. We stayed in a modern apartment with all the amenities, about 100M away and liked it very much

We, a family of four, booked the hotel accommodation through agent and eventually was given us an apartment at the hotel. It is great that it has a kitchen for us to cook lamp t-bone and cod for dinner and a washing machine to wash our clothes for the last five days. The only we don’t like is the toilet which is a wet washing room. when taking shower, all the things in the WC will be wet!

In our weeklong trip around the entire country of Iceland, this was my least favorite overnight stay. The location was nice, a small harbor area with great surroundings. The hotel itself offered very little in comfort or convenience. Very old, basic room, no charm and not a lot of upkeep invested in the place. The shower curtain even smelled like dirty laundry. Blah
