The Beacons Guest House

Just a great stay - superb value for money. Staff super helpful - breakfast was a feast and it’s great to see a new business getting off the ground with enthusiasm and customer care at the fore front - chatted to the owner who really wanted our views to help him improve. Highly recommend!

Beautiful room. We honestly thought we were the first people to stay in room 4 as it had a very new feeling. Spotlessly clean. Everything you wanted and more. Lovely breakfast some had a full english and I had poached eggs on toast cooked perfectly. Great friendly hosts. Highly recommended. Will definitely be back again. Exactly what it says on the tin a nice stopover, a group of 12 of us stopped over in the town of Brecon and used this guest house plenty of parking. Value for money, good size room all the basics Tea/coffee TV etc and a very hearty breakfast to send us on a way. Would definitely stop over again if going walking in the Brecon Beacons. Two weeks ago, saw a 30 strong team complete the final preparations for a charity event in aid of Dementia UK on the Brecon Beacons, armed with a great deal of determination raising over £5k in the process! To that end I wanted to leave the hotel a review to thank the team for all they did, ensuring our stay was as relaxing and smooth as it could have been, which was essential to the success of this challenge. The room I had was massive, the bed comfy and the shower powerful and good - I know the Guest House is work in progress with some DIY needed in other parts of the establishments, but this didn't hinder certainly my stay. I must pay particular homage to Sophie, who was uber professional in her dealings with me in organising the party of 9 staying at the Beacons Guest House, where she was super attentive and helpful - the same was also true of the staff at Breakfast - (Chef Ellie, and supporting her was Sam and Lisa) who were magnificent by coming in early to ensure we left fuelled up and ready to go! Please pass this note of thanks to them too?! The rooms were well presented and clean, whist being peaceful to allow a god nights sleep and the food was excellent - and on site parking to boot as well as catering for cyclists - something i shall keep in mind! My thanks to Neil who I had communication with prior to our visit, who was very accommodating and speedy with his initial responses.

From the time we made the telephone enquiry regarding accommodation to the timevwe said 'goodbye' the welcome and warmth we received we unsurpassable. The room itself, food and hosts were first class. Would definitely stay there again and recommend highly without any reservations. A huge THANK YOU!!

Excellent base to explore The Beacons. Our trip was to climb Pen y Fan for charity. Great service from Sam, Lisa and Sophie. Friendly and fun and served a great pre climb breakfast. Thank you ladies. Room was comfortable and shower was refreshing.

We booked this B&B last minute on Saturday evening, needing to stay that night. We were booked in with such warmth and friendliness we instantly felt at home. We started in one of the outside rooms and we were not disappointed it was clean airy with a lovely bathroom and everything you needed for a nights stay. Had one of the best nights sleep ever you just seemed to melt in to the mattress. The stay was finished off by a superb breakfast cooked and served to us by Lisa, nothing was too much trouble for her. We would most definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Ideal location. a couple of minutes walk from the town centre. Easy check in, made to feel very welcome. Room was very clean, bed very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent.
