French Quarter Resort

All staff were wonderful. Front desk very kind and accommodating. Rooms could use some love/updating but overall all well stocked. Screens bent, dank smell of mildew in all 3 units probably because ground floor units had overgrown moss off of patios, no place to plug devices in behind bed, springs in living room chair shot. Smell dissipated after a couple days with windows open and burning good smelling candles. Ample parking. Pool area could use some updating but had clean bbq's with utensils. Kitchens well stocked. Great location close to Branson activities. Was disappointed we couldn't store boat and trailer there over night until we could put it on the lake.

Very nice, well appointed, clean, and comfortable. But, there were some issues and areas for improvement. 1. The heat/AC system did not heat or cool despite the fan running almost constantly. No air was coming out of the vents. I don’t have enough space here to describe our efforts to make it work. We didn’t call for help; we shouldn’t have to. Our friends in unit 232 had even worse trouble; but they called for help after “freezing” overnight. Technicians were sent to fix it. 2. No towel racks, loops or hooks in the master bath. Only 2 hooks in the second bathroom. 3. Part of the handle on the second bath lavatory is missing. (Photo) 4. Kitchen trash can was much smaller than the bags provided. 5. Shower curtain rod in second bath wouldn’t stay in place. 6. Centipede on the hallway wall, and a spider in that bathtub. A cobweb under the right lavatory in the master bathroom. 7. Internet was slow and had frequent drop-outs. Several different portal names were available, but they all had problems staying connected. (We ended up using our Netgear Mi-Fi device.) 8. No chest or dresser in master bedroom, and no convenient place to luggage. 9. Landline phone didn’t work, although we didn’t really need it. 10. One parking spot in front of Building 2 was marked “FIRE LANE” (in white letters with a red background on the curb). However the parking space itself looked like any other open parking spot. If it is truly a no parking zone, the entire surface area should be marked off. 11. Dining room table frame is metal; often bumped knees, feet and toes on it. 12. TV in family room had poor fidelity; it needs a sound bar.

We had a 3 bedroom loft unit. It was very large, comfortable and had 3 bathrooms which was great for 4 ladies. The unit was up to date and modern. Although we were there in off season, the resort seems to have lots of activities for guests- adult and kids pools, hot tub, shuffleboard, an activity room, grills. We were near Olive Garden and IHOP. We ate out, but had breakfast in our unit each day. Refrigerator was large and had ice maker and water spout. We were also located near an Olive
