Welcome to your very own piece of paradise only 15 minutes from Asheville, North Carolina where you will enjoy your time away from the cares of this world. Located on a 150 acre gated estate, Wintersun sets itself apart from other mountain homes. As soon as you drive through the gates, you will pass a rushing trout stream, drive through a lush green valley, cross over the bridge by the trickle down ponds, pass the horses playing in a mountain meadow and drive up and away to the fern and flower-bedecked verandah, which offers a comfortable seat and a breathtaking view. The environment is a contrast in expansiveness and intimacy. From the verandah mountain ranges recede into smoky blue shadows, while on the arbor side the stone garden climbs 50 feet flanking a 24-foot waterfall surrounded by an enclosed lawn. Inside the elegant country home are spacious rooms furnished with oriental rugs, antiques, huge stone fireplaces, books galore, with deep chairs and sofas for leisurely pursuits.
