If you are a water sports enthusiast and would like to bring your own boat or jet-ski, there is a boat ramp that offers public access located just a short drive from the property. The dock at the house is equipped with cleats allowing you to dock your watercraft during your stay. While there are plenty of ways to enjoy the quaint Lookout Shoals Lake, it does not offer access to a marina or any watercraft rental companies. After enjoying all that the lake has to offer, you may choose to participate in a little friendly competition with a game of air hockey, poker, foosball, or billiards in the fully stocked game room. Welcome to Egret Escape on Lake NormanThis home has been recently renovated. Although in a quiet cove, the private dock has deep water, great views and lots of space to hang out. There are 2 paddleboards, life vests, wonder noodles and water lounges as well as some water toys and beach towels available to use during your stay. There are lots a places here to relax and enjoy the lake - my favorite is the recliner on the covered dock! A love seat and chairs on the lower porch for sipping a beverage with friends. A set of lounge chairs on the dock for reading that neglected stack of magazines. The covered dock has a comfortable dining table, perfect for sharing a meal with family while enjoying the sunset. The kitchen, family room and full bath are located on the lower level. The kitchen is fully appointed with dishes, utensils, cookware and small appliances including a blender, coffee maker, toaster and crock pot. There are also some cooking basics such as common spices, flour, sugar, oil and coffee. A 36" Blackstone griddle is located on the downstairs patio, close to the kitchen. There are 3 bedrooms in the home, all are located upstairs as well as the living room, washer/dryer, kitchenette coffee bar and half bath. The main bedroom has a king sized bed and wardrobe closet with drawers. The second bedroom has a queen sized bed and features an lighted umbrella art installation on the ceiling. The third bedroom is a bunk room with 2 Twin XL bed, blackout blinds and a pocket door. Crib and highchair provided. There is wireless internet available as well as 4 flat screen TV's with Roku, Netflix and Disney+ service. There are also books, board games and cards. Great for entertaining.-3 guest rooms upstairs/queen beds-Walk out basement 1 queen bed( not a private bedroom), laundry room, ping pong table, full bathroom, opens out to patio and firepit area, fenced in backyard. That leads down to dock.New paved walk way down to dock.-Fully stocked kitchen ( starter kit 2 dish pods, 1 paper towel, 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, small dish soap and 3 garbage bags. Please plan accordingly for your length trip. -Boat Rental, our families favorite thing to do while visiting the cabin.. getting out on the water! Enjoy the 24 foot Bennington Pontoon. Seasonal rates $499 per day includes insurance to operate. Mid April-Nov. varies on weather . The boat rental can be included with your home rental as an add on as well just let us know at booking how many days to add. Boat is conveniently located at the dock in the back yard. unlimited daily rental until dusk( note dock closes for gas daily at 5:00 and will need fueled up before returning to half tank. Lake Norman Marina is few min. from cove for gas. -Boat Rules .Please bring back with half tank of gas as it was when you took it out( send picture of fuel gage before and after) please we do not live in the area to re fuel this 300$ fine if not re fuel.. No beaching ruins prop ( send pictures before and after of prop).No pets unless discussed ahead of time claws damage seats.Life jackets must be worn it is the law in NC there are jackets provided but not any child size please bring if needed..No operating boat under the use of alcohol and no smoking on boat.Please return boat clean and tied up well with pictures provided. Do not sit on arm rests or doors..No rain checks or cancellations of any kind (even Due to weather).If any accessory switches are left on it will drain the battery... and a tech will have to come out and charge the battery you will be charged 220.00$ for this service. Please double check lights, radio, and any other switches are off at the return of your boat rental for the eve.-3 kayaks, vests all provided free for use please return to the rack upside down when finished. If lost or damaged they will be replaced at guests costs.
