Boulia Caravan Park

Stayed just the one night. Got nice powered camper sites right by the amenities. Tidy area. Clean amenities but very basic. Friendly reception. There's a pet camel and donkey that wanders into the park often but not on the night we stayed. Very quiet. Beside the river so mosquitoes were prevalent.

Spent a night in one of the cabins here and never will we do this again. The cabin had no smoke alarms (required by State Law), the oven was taped closed (goodness knows what state it was in), the gas cook top had no self ignite button & no lighting implementation was provided (we borrowed something from a nearby camper so we could cook our breakfast), the bedside lamps didn't work (one side didn't even have a power outlet to plug the lamp into), bedding was for 5 but seating supplied was for 2 (how does that work I wonder) and all 3 rooms had 2 air conditioners (a new model that worked & an old yellowed unit that was not working & riddled with dust), the kitchen extraction fan was filthy, but we did have a nice new washing machine with laundry powder we could use at no extra charge, but didn't need to wash clothes.

Ensuite cabin was very clean., nice and roomy and all necessary items available. Plenty of pillows and blankets Very quiet at night. And even a camel to share breakfast with. Really comfortable chairs on outside deck.
