Stunning chateaux filled with history and elegance. Our hosts were warm and welcoming. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious dinner which was accompanied by lovely wines. Definitely recommend this place as a stopover or a destination for exploring the area.

We had such a lovely time in our brief stopover at this gorgeous bed and breakfast. The owners are very friendly and welcoming and spoke excellent English. It’s a beautiful, tranquil stop - perfect for a relaxing evening. It’s easy to access from the motorway so a perfect stopover if you’re visiting the south of France from the UK or returning home. We booked the evening meal option which was a lovely treat! We enjoyed a three course home cooked meal out in the garden accompanied by great local wines. The food was delicious - as was the wine! And very good value too! There’s a lovely pool and a garden to walk around and it’s very quiet as it’s in a small little hamlet off the beaten track. We stayed in the rose room on the second floor up the spiral staircase in the turret which was very comfortable with lovely bed linen. There was an extensive breakfast with eggs, cold meats and cheeses, croissants, bread, yoghurts, home made jams and a chocolate cake! You can park your car in the gated garden outside the house so it’s nice and safe. A lovely trip - I’d happily return!

My wife and I had the great pleasure of staying yesterday at this exceptional B&B near Chateauroux in France for an overnight stop. The house, a classical chateau from the 19th century, is extremely beautiful, as are the garden and park surrounding it. The French owners, Mr and Mrs d'Ussel, are charming, friendly and welcoming. They are talented cooks and wine experts and run their establishment in the best Swiss hotelier tradition. An elegant dining room, where guests enjoy delicious French cuisine and wine from the owners' AOC classified vineyard in the Languedoc, is set with crystal, porcelain and damask table cloth and napkins. The bedroom we had (a junior suite) was equally well furnished and equipped with a comfortable bed, fine bed linen and ensuite bathroom of a high standard. All in all, we were exceptionally impressed by our stay at l'Abeaupiniere. Indeed, having stayed at many exclusive hotels over the years, we can firmly state that we have seldom, if ever, encountered such hospitality, attention to detail and concern for the comfort and satisfaction of their guests, as we did yesterday in the shape of the d'Ussels. We warmly recommend their lovely B&B to anyone looking for a truly special place to stay in their region of France.

We felt special at our stay in the beautiful home of Brigette and Philibert. We had a warm welcome, delicious and creative meals, and all the comforts we needed. There was good and friendly conversation with the hosts as well as other guests. This home is such a lovely French manor, and is beloved by the owners who eagerly share the family surroundings and tell about the ancestors before them. We only wish our stay could've been longer! Wonderful stay We had a wonderful one night stay. We were made so welcome. Our room was very comfortable and we had a good sleep. Breakfast was excellent too. Would highly recommend.

Super nice Beautiful place to stay

Accueil super sympa, hôtesse et sa famille très gentil, souriants et disponible. Magnifique lieu que ce soit extérieur piscine, forêt, parc, ou intérieur décoration, propreté... La chambre superbe, propre, fonctionnelle. Le pic nique très garni et excellent. Le petit déjeuner pareil Salle du petit déjeuner magnifique également. Tout était incroyable et chouette.
