Derwentwater Independent Hostel is set within 17 acres of grounds, this Georgian mansion has a large waterfall and you can spot red squirrels in the grounds. Located in the Lake District National Park,150 metres from the shores of Derwent Water and Keswick’s town centre is 5 minutes’ drive away. Orienteering courses can be arranged and there is a large area for ball games. Canoeing, windsurfing and yachting are all possible on Derwentwater. Borrowdale’s renowned climbing valley is less than 10 minutes’ drive from Derwentwater Independent Hostel. Local bottled ale is served and guests can enjoy homemade food in the dining room . Packed lunches are also available. With a communal lounge area, Derwentwater Independent Hostel also has 2 dining rooms, laundry facilities and a drying room. All rooms have bunk beds with their own light and some have lockable storage. Most bedrooms have a sink and all rooms have access to shared bathrooms.Xem Thêm

可以自己做飯吃，環境很好，我們住的是小木屋，遺憾的是沒有衞生間，需要去樓房裡，這點很不方便，風景不錯，適合靜下來，慢慢遊玩的地方

Gotta be the best Hostel in the Lakes , if not the UK. Amazing building , fantastic location and views. Great food, super, helpful staff. Camping on site too. Once part of the YHA, now like many YHA properties, it's been 'let go'. Still run much like a YHA Hostels used to be Waterfall out the back..

Returned again for our annual lads cycle trip to Keswick. 3rd year in a row at this hostel and won’t book anywhere else now! Rooms as always are comfortable and clean. If your room looks out the front your view is the lake, behind is the waterfall! Breakfast was great value and service was good as always. Bike shed for the bikes needs to be bigger but always manage to squeeze in. Slight trek into Keswick but plenty of options. Bus service leaves from the drive way, also a boat service from the lake or a taxi from Davies was only £7. We walked it last year but took about an hour. Parking as always in Keswick is a nightmare. Be back again next year for sure.

A lovely setting for a hostel. The bar was great and well priced. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. Room was as expected. The showers were hot however there was significant mould on the ceiling of the shower room. I would 100% go back again though
