Behind its unassuming front door this Maison d'Hote is a calm and peaceful space. Our room (Royale) was spacious and tastefully decorated and the bed very comfortable. It had had tea and coffee making facilities as well and breakfast, served in our room, was great with fresh produce from the market. The surrounding area was very lively at the weekend but we felt quite safe. The Capuchin Market was close by and there are plenty of restaurants within a 15 minute walk. Our host, Georges, did his utmost to ensure we enjoyed our stay and gave us several ideas on where to go and what to eat - a highlight was the Bassin des Lumieres. We'd certainly stay there again next time we visit Bordeaux.

What a lovely haven of peace and tranquillity behind such an unassuming door! Georges was a perfect host and gave us heaps of info about what to do during our short stay in Bordeaux from places to see to where to eat or find a mint tea. We followed his advice and had a wonderful day and evening in the city. Our room was very tastefully and artfully decorated with great attention to detail and also spotlessly clean. Breakfast was served in our room and was amazing - beautifully presented and delicious. We'll certainly be back but for two nights next time!

Walking into La Parenthese was like an oasis. Georges, our host warmly welcomed us. Taking the time to not only introduce us to our outstanding apartment but also ensuring we had solid directions to restaurants & the key sights of Bordeaux.

Very warm welcome from Georges. Lovely and spacious room, great decor and very quiet. Good breakfast, excellent service and communication. I only stayed one night but would not hesitate to come back for longer stays. Highly recommended.

We stayed for 3 nights in the Royal room. It was easy to get around on public transport , just remember to charge your card at a tram stop. Breakfast for 15€ was great, fresh bread, croissants, fresh squeezed orange juice, fruit and yogurt. The room had the fixings for coffer and tea. Georges was very helpful and friendly, with good advice on the Bordeaux sights. Room was clean and large, very nice bathroom and great AC.

Adresse extraordinaire ! Nous avions la chambre exotique, magnifique avec une terrasse magique et même un jacuzzi ! Merci Georges pour ton super accueil, tes bons plans et le très bon et copieux petit déjeuner. Un seul regret, ne pas avoir pu rester plus longtemps, on va être obligé de revenir ;-)

Nous avons séjourné chez Georges qui est un hôte sympathique et souriant, qui a pris du temps pour nous conseiller pour les visites à faire sur Bordeaux. La chambre romantique est très jolie, décorée avec goût et très propre. Le petit déjeuner, servi dans la chambre est copieux et bon. Si nous revenons en voyage sur Bordeaux, nous reviendrons chez Georges et nous le recommandons vivement.Marylène

Nous avons séjourné pour un week end dans la chambre « exotique ». L’accueil est formidable , aux petits soins pour nous qui n’étions pas de la région. La chambre est fabuleuse, propre et spacieuse et le jacuzzi est incroyable. Hâte de revenir ! Merci Georges

Très belle chambre propre, silencieuse, spacieuse, avec des petites attentions de la part de l’hôte, bien située entre la gare et le centre ville où tout est accessible à pied ou en transport en commun. L’hôte connaît très bien la ville et nous a parfaitement conseillé les endroits à visiter. Nous recommandons vivement ce lieu ! Gracie mille Georges (poltron e sofa)
