Mango Hill Pondicherry

The resort is located amidst greens and some 700m away from beach. We had a good stay but there were some issues - Very slow room service, had to wait for water for 1.5 hours and had to call 3 times Room and washroom wasn't cleaned during our 3 day stay Lighting is very poor in room and washroom and makes it difficult to get ready Good points- Breakfast buffet(veg dishes) was good and Himanshu catered to us very politely Swimming pool is beautifully situated around a tree Resort is green and beautiful Overall staff was courteous and helpful

We stayed here for 2 nights, the ambiance and hospitality is excellent, the room is clean and hygienic, swimming pool is well maintained, and the aesthetics are very appealing. Bike rentals are available at resort itself. Food is great, especially breakfast menu.

Great experience and wonderful ambience. Special mentions to the supporting staffs. Room was so clean and neat.I would recommend to all. Best place for family too. Feels like your are in forest but you can enjoy the see view from the room. thanks

Good property, clean and beautiful. Well maintained swimming pool. We had nice family time here. Soulful place . Rahul Malakar assisted us for hassle free stay and food services . Food was good. Quiet and beautiful place to stay. Restaurant was nice

Wonderful place, a go to place for us whenever we r in auroville... Very polite and happy face staff... We enjoyed the stay, pool and the view.... Their complimentary breakfast is best.... I love it...thank u prithviraj for making our stay such a memorable.

Though my initial experience with Mango hill reservations team was not going good ,once I posted the review the team contacted me and took immediate steps to rectify the issue. The reservation issues was sorted out and we 6 families had a good time in the property. The property team were really Polite and welcoming. Appreciation to the front desk n House keeping. Food was good.Resturant team can improve on their working time. We celebrated two ppl's bday . The front desk team customized our request and make decorations . We had a great time and also it was kids friendly.

We had a very Peaceful stay. Not a big property, but good for a couple of days stay. Swimming pool is the highlight. G Food was great. Staffs were very friendly. 10 min journey to auroville. Overall loved the stay and would love to comeback....

Firstly, be clear if this place is in is Tamil Nadu or Pondicherry in your description. If you are going to Pondicherry, please book a good place in Pondicherry. This is far from actual Pondy. The reviews are misleading. Secondly the pictures are not even close to what you see. It is badly maintained, the Thai cottage is not a safe place to stay, the lock was coming off, the balcony railing shaky, below which is the pool not so deep if at all the railing gave away. The balcony furniture had bird droppings which were not cleaned. How to enjoy the view that they show with the shaky railing and dirty furniture. The TV takes ages to switch on, lighting is sad and dull, bathroom is one pathetic place. Broken sink was fixed with tape and clearly visible. No tap. Only option was shower. the bathroom window is a joke. Covered with planks and a curtain which was not fully covered and this faced the platform where people walked. Coming to the hospitality, they don't even know what it means. Waiting 45 mins for toilet paper, had to collect it from reception. Waited an hour and a half for our dinner order. The excuse given was short of staff. The breakfast buffet was ok ok. They can do far better for the amount they are charging. Don't go by the pics. The place is actually not that great at all. When you go on a vacation, the least they can do is make the stay pleasant and stress free. Very few get this point. This place takes it for granted.

The two things which are good at Mango Hill are their clean rooms and their pool. Restaurant service is horrible, lethargic and lacks options! Blasting loud music till 11 pm, with no control ! Confirming room service orders and then later calling us to inform us the kitchen is closed and the order cannot be processed. Milk unavailable for kids. And then finally, including undelivered and unprocessed food items in the bill, including the ones which the hotel has cancelled due to "kitchen closed". Stay here for their rooms and to enjoy the pool. For food options, head out and eat from other restaurants nearby. If you want to dine in, prepare to follow up your orders frequently!
