Vrooman Mansion B&B

We stopped for one night at Vrooman Mansion as part of our Route 66 trip. Brian met us at the door and gave us a full historical tour of the house. As we knew nothing about the house, family or area, this was very interesting. We had a room in the main house. It was very comfortable and spacious. There was A/C, it was little noisy, but it didn’t stop us from having great nights sleep. Breakfast is around a massive dining table with other guests. The food was really good and plentiful. The area was peaceful and within walking distance of the town where there are some nice restaurants. We ate at Epiphany, would recommend it.

Our family of 4 stayed - the “kids” are 20 and 22 and were home for Thanksgiving. Rather than chilling at home we wanted somewhere to go without traveling far from home. I can’t believe I didn’t know this existed in my town before, but my Google search uncovered this gem. I knew about the Vrooman mansion, but I did not know that you could rent out the entire carriage house. That’s right - the entire house - all to ourselves! It was a GREAT experience! The house itself is so beautifully decorated. The attention to detail is out of this world…the light fixtures, the sinks, the luxurious robes, the bathrooms - all so unique and all perfect for the ambiance. There was a smart TV so even though the vibe is rustic and “back in the day” we watched movies on Netflix and Hulu with the fireplace going after we played some games and had dinner. Even though we stayed at the carriage house we still had access to the main floor of the main house and received a delicious breakfast each morning. Couple tips: turn down the heat at night because the bedrooms hold the heat (low 60s is perfect) and definitely wear the robes! Our family had such a great experience here - highly recommend!

Vrooman Mansion vastly exceeds expectations for business travel. You essentially have the run of the place which has excellent accommodations, attached baths that are first rate, wi-fi, wood-burning fireplace. The included breakfast was excellent and way beyond what you would get at a chain hotel. Plus it’s in a quiet tree-lined neighborhood rather than a patch of neo-suburban pavement. The staff is very nice and personable, nothing like you would get at a chain. You really feel at home here, no joke. You’re dealing with real people and really nice people. Wonderful in every respect. Very highly recommended!

We stayed with a group of close friends for our wedding weekend. Our venue was at a nearby restaurant, but we did an exclusive rental of the mansion for getting ready and hosting. The staff was absolutely incredible! We had a last minute change and had to have the rehearsal at Vrooman and they were incredibly accommodating. They set up a little rehearsal ceremony space for us with chairs without even being asked. They set up tables for when we brought lunch, and a makeup table for me to get ready! I have never experienced such wonderful customer service. Everything from the decor in the rooms to the quality shampoo & conditioner were amazing. And don’t get me started on the breakfast!! Our friends and family couldn’t stop raving about how cool the space was, and everyone had so much fun hopping from room to room, inspecting all the little details of the decor and just lounging around. They truly made our weekend special, 11/10 would recommend :)

All the basics, such as a super comfortable bed, are excellent. What is more Is that the house is incredibly interesting, and much of it can be seen, as many rooms aren't even functioning as guest rooms, but the host will show you rooms that our guest rooms. If they are unoccupied. I highly recommend it.

Vrooman Mansion was gorgeous and the staff went absolutely above and beyond for us. We enjoyed wine by the fire, and the room was magnificent. The breakfast was delicious and felt so elegant in such a grand dining room. We will absolutely be coming back.

The house is full of history. Beautiful inside and out! Staff is knowledgeable and awesome. Staying there is like going back in time but with present day amenities. Breakfast was delicious! Close to downtown Blooming and lots of good restaurants near by. Would definitely stay again.

Conveniently located near The Castle Theatre and many restaurants; we were able to walk to our destinations. Our stay was comfortable and the staff were very friendly. Learning the history of the house was quite interesting as well.

Very large and beautiful mansion with many rooms. Could invision staying here with several family members! Breakfast was out of this world. I think it was the best I've had at a B and B ... and we've stayed at many. An interesting sidenote ... I'm not so sure that we weren't "visited" periodically throughout the night. I dreamed that my husband and I weren't the only ones in the room. I felt that someone was watching us with care. It was a peaceful presence. It happened on and off throughout the night that I began to wonder ... and wonder if the Julias weren't visiting this Julia. Thank you for a very pleasant stay!
