Our family of four booked prestige suite and had extra blankets for my two boys. The refurbished hotel is great and same as breakfast choices.

Very nice and friendly staff. The staffs from front desk were very helpful. Room was big, clean and nice.

How can i describe our stay and meals at Fleur de Loire? Understated luxury and comfort. Tasteful and not pretentious. The room was spacious, with lots of room for luggage, and living. Bed and bathroom were perfect. We're not really spa-goers but out of curiosity we tried the steam room and pool. What a wonderful way to warm up after being out in the chilly November weather. Our meal at Christophe Haye was an unforgettable experience. Excellent, excellent, excellent. I have MUCH respect for what he and his team have created. ALL of our interactions with staff were pleasurable, warm, helpful, accommodating. Thank-you for this wonderful experience.

What a fantastic find and gem in Blois. The location is perfect - overlooking the river yet close to all of the shopping/restaurants. The grounds are stunning and from the moment we arrived, we were treated so well. Many English speakers on staff, which was helpful. They went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. We arrived before check in time so our room wasn’t ready. So they upgraded us and gave us a glass of sparkling wine to enjoy until our room was ready. The sparkling made is that of the Chef/Owner of the hotel and restaurant and it was fabulous. Shout out to Enzo and Lucy who throughout our stay made sure they made our stay the best. We asked to be seated at the chef’s table at the ** Michelin restaurant and they were able to accommodate us. I’ll talk about that experience in my review for Christophe Hay (restaurant). They have two restaurants on site, a patisserie, a wonderful spa, lounge/bar, fitness room, steam room and sauna. The rooms were updated nicely with many different amenities and plenty of drawers for clothes. The shower was awesome, both rain shower and sprayer. The linens are soft and the bed is so comfy. It is apparent they go above and beyond in every part of the hotel, the grounds, service, etc. to exceed your expectations.

I’ve been dying to visit this hotel since its opening and can say that it was worth the trip. Is this the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at? No, but it very well could be with some small improvements. First of all, the property is absolutely gorgeous. The decor is incredibly elegant but not too over the top. It felt comfortable and warm while also being incredibly stylish and modern. When I win the lotto, this is how I would like to decorate my Loire Valley chateau (or my Parisien pied-a-terre for that matter). You can tell that no detail was overlooked, but there were a few design flows in the room. For example, the curtains are not automatic and given the high ceiling they were a bit cumbersome to draw on one’s own. Similarly, it was difficult to find an outlet by the bed without moving a nightstand. And although stylish, the bathroom sink was impractical and made a mess whenever I used it. But these are little things! They did not detract from my stay at all. The room overall was absolutely gorgeous. The bedding was amazing and I slept very well, especially with such a large and copious selection of pillows. And the housekeeping was great as well, although my first night there were no wash cloths in the room and I needed to ask the front desk to bring some. Again, not a big deal but it’s the little things that could make this hotel truly one of a kind. I had a room with a private terrace and I was just say to anyone interested in this room category the balconies are all located on the ground floor and do not afford a lot of privacy. I received a lot of looks from the passerby’s coming and going while drinking my Champagne in my bathrobe and slippers. I never was out on the terrace while my neighbors were out, but I imagine that would have been a little awkward given the low walls and close proximity. Unlike the other clients, I was not here to use the spa, but to EAT, and EAT I did. Everything I put in my mouth was incredible, from the viennoiseries at breakfast to the bar cocktails, to the amazing food at the two restaurants. Amour Blanc could have been a Michelin meal in and of itself, and my meal at Christophe Haye was maybe the best I’ve had in my life. It is the best 2 star restaurant I have ever eaten at, that is for sure. In fact I wonder if it should really have 3 stars…just my humble opinion. Similar to my other comments, service was overall professional, consistent, and warm, but still there is some room for improvement. For example, when I arrived at the hotel via taxi, there was no one to assist with luggage, so I had to carry my large suitcases up the stairs into the lobby - this does not seem normal at a hotel of this caliber. On the flip side, I received proactive assistance when I left. Shoutout to Charlie for being awesome! Similarly, the service at the bar was very warm and friendly, but took forever, taking 20 minutes to order a drink in the afternoon when I was one of the only patrons. Fabulous stay - fresh, new hotel - delightful staff, manager, restaurants, and setting. Best hotel we have ever stayed in (been going places for forty years now). Stand alone restaurant is just perfect - fine food, very pleasant staff and comfortable. Two starred main restaurant is just a wonder. Fine in every respect. Warm staff. Personable chef. Hotel manager, Kim, was just a gem - pleasant and helpful all the time. Go for a very special place to stay in chateau land of the middle ages.

After staying at a variety of boutique hotels in the Loire Valley it was wonderful to stay at a luxury level property. Staff were extremely attentive. Beds were quite comfortable. The hotel was extremely clean. They had valet parking, which was very welcome after struggling with some of the small offsite parking that is available at other areas in the Loire valley. Breakfasts were very nice. We were overall very pleased with our stay.

We would highly recommend this hotel. The staff is superb. The setting is lovely and has a gorgeous view of the old city of Blois. The cuisine is delicious, especially at Christophe Hay.

A beautiful property. Excellent restaurants on site. Ideal location in near proximity to Blois by a short walk, and easy drive to Chambord and other beautiful chateaux in the area. We really enjoyed the wellness area and beautiful facilities including pools (indoor and outdoor), sauna, hammam, and whirlpool - a great way to start or end the day. Many compliments to Chef Hay and his lovely staff for a most enjoyable and relaxing stay.

We just returned from a visit to the Loire Valley and it would not have been the same without our spectacular stay at Fleur de Loire. This resort is very much focused on gastronomy (as it is chef owned and includes his incredible restaurant - separate review), but the most important aspect of this hotel is that they live and breathe excellence in hospitality. They are a Relais and Chateaux property and they deserve every bit of that distinction. We got off to a very rough start when we arrived after an overnight flight and the room wasn't ready. Completely understandable as we arrived before check in. We were assured that the room was empty and would be cleaned right away, making it available within the hour. We still cannot figure out what went wrong but needless to say we were still sitting (sleeping!) outside their lobby four hours later. While we cannot blame them for not expecting international guests hours ahead of check in time, however, we cannot imagine how it could take over four hours to get one room cleaned, knowing their guests were waiting. No other guests were waiting so we assumed this would be taken care of quickly, but it was not. At this point, we were a little concerned about how this visit would go but I'm happy to say that everyone else at this hotel went above and beyond to make our stay special. From the valet (who apologized for his colleague not being more helpful), to the friendly bartender and most importantly, their AMAZING concierge, Geraldine! I had communicated with Geraldine several times in advance of our visit and she had arranged some lovely activities for us. By far, the highlight of our entire trip was our day with Jean Baptiste, their "cycling guy", who took us on an all day tour of the area with beautiful scenery, tastings at local wineries and inside the forests of the chateaux. One of our best travel days ever! It wasn't just the sights and scenery, Jean Baptiste was the ultimate host (not just a guide, but a host). If you have the time and ability to spend a day with him, you should absolutely do it. Thank you again, Jean Baptiste...we loved our day with you. The food at the hotel is (obviously) spectacular on all fronts. I will submit a separate review for Christophe Hay (incredible, best meal we've ever had) but we ate all our breakfasts and one dinner at Amour Blanc, their other (more casual) restaurant. We enjoyed everything we ate and the maitre d in the mornings was very friendly and a bundle of energy. Do not miss the breakfast - they have everything you can imagine and you will be full for the day! Thanks to everyone who made our stay one we will remember!
