Hotel Triglav

We spent in this hotel 3 nights in the blue suite on the first floor. Hotel is located on the hill next to the Lake Bled, close to the rail station. There is a path next to the hotel leading to the lake. We travel with the dog, they have good attitude to pets. The room was quite spacious with great place to sit next to the window with beautiful view on the lake. Hotel is old but with its own charm. There are some small things that could be improved..like housekeeping is holding their trolleys, ikea bags with towels, dirty sheets, cleaning accessories and many other things on the floor in disorder next to the lift. Sometimes it was hard to get through it to get to the lift. Besides that it wasn’t good view. Also we didn’t enjoy the food in the restaurant. Two times we took room service, but we didn’t like it..maybe it wasn’t our tastes..breakfast were great, with menu to choose from. Service was great. In the restaurant you can see some wine glasses with dust on it..some spider webs.. Generally I would come back to the hotel. The charm of the old hotel, beautiful views from the room will win with some lack of maintenance.

This place was absolutely beautiful, clean, well maintained, and had a good location. We got 2 rooms for our family of 5. Great for kids and a family. Staff was very nice. Jurij Korosec was fast to respond when I had questions and emails. Rooms had amazing views. It’s just a bit out of the way, (which is good) 5 minutes, so you don’t have the traffic there. I thought it was UNDERPRICED for how great it was. I ate breakfast for 1.5-2 hours every morning while visiting with staff and enjoying the view. I would have liked to have met the owner. We were looking to stay at the Adora and Tito mansion but those were booked and I’m glad they were because we got a chance to stay here. My family talks about going back as soon as possible!

We stayed as a family of three in room 301 as suite with a wonderful view on the lake . Breakfast was delicious and made to order with the ability to order additional items . We really enjoyed the granola , eggs royale and omelettes . The views from the restaurant are beautiful. This isn’t a hotel you would spend all day in as there’s limited space to relax with a small indoor pool and sauna . Saying that Lake Bled isn’t a place you would want to stay indoors . We had dinner one night in the hotel which was lovely . I did the wine tasting and would definitely recommend . The hotel has character with antique furniture, if you like a modern hotel this maybe isn’t for you but we loved it . The cleaning is at a high standard and every enquiry was answered . The hotel is a little bit of a trek uphill but a scenic walk into Bled I had two 17 year old girls with me who rowed at Bled rowing club an excellent experience . Thank you for a wonderful stay .

Hotel Triglav Bled sits high above the lake and offers some great views on the eastern portion of the lake. It is within walking distance of the train station, thus it's very convenient for those coming by train. Hotel is located in a nice, quiet neighbourhood. That also means dining option is very limited in the immediate surrounding area. We had to book two rooms because there wasn't any family room available for our date. Rooms are clean, comfortable and cozy. Size is adequate and functional. The pendant attached to the key is big and heavy. It is clumsy and difficult to carry it around. Each room had its own small balcony with a lake view. Beware trees may block the view in some of the units. Breakfast is very good. It is made to order from a menu. You can order anything multiple times. The restaurant also has a wonder view of Our Lady on the Rocks. On check in we found out there was spa and a sauna. It was supposed to be opened at 8am. We went down at 8:10am, but it was locked and there wasn't anyone around to help. We were later informed that we need to put in an advanced request at least 1/2 hour prior, to allow for setup. Although it has onsite parking, space is very limited. It is even more challenging if arriving in the early evening, when other non-hotel guests may come with their car to dine in the hotel restaurant. If coming with a vehicle, it is strongly advisable to inform the hotel when booking. We were able to leave our car at the hotel after checkout so we can walk to and around Lake Bled the following morning. There is a walking path across from the train station that leads to the closest point of the lake. It takes about 10-12 minutes to get to the lake from the hotel. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

This place is definitely not good with kids. They actively go out of their way to make it clear they don’t want any kids around. Location is about 10 minute walk from lake but not near any other restaurants so you will need to walk about 1 mile into town for food. Positives were view from balcony and comfortable bed. Cons: air conditioner was broken, shower head ripped out of the actual wall in our bathroom, no kids cots available, it took us literally 50 minutes and asking three times to get granola and yogurt served to us at breakfast.

This hotel has a great location within walking distance of Lake Bled. Views from our window were gorgeous. However, the young woman who first checked us in was very unfriendly and did not seem to have the patience to give us good driving directions to downtown, so we got lost trying to find the area where you take the boats to the church on the island. However, the other gentleman who manned the desk at other times were very friendly and helpful. The room was OK -- a bit small but had everything we needed. We did feel that the cost of the room was a bit high, but this is to be expected because of the location. The breakfast buffet was OK; we did not eat in the restaurant as I had done research previously and learned it was expensive. There are plenty of other options to eat at other restaurants.

Let me talk about good, then bad. The hotel is on the opposite side of the lake from the town and sits above the lake. Very peaceful. You have access to the lake trail by a path just a few hundred meters from the hotel. Every room faces the lake so everyone has gorgeous views. I found the bed very comfortable and each room has a small patio with a table and 2 chairs where you can relax and enjoy the views. They have an elevator to each floor. They have a swimming pool and spa which I did not use or look at. The breakfast was adequate but I’m not a breakfast person. Now the bad. The rooms are quite small (but ok if you travel alone) and the furniture throughout the hotel is dated. In most cases the items are shabby and worn vs antique and the overall feeling is an overstocked used furniture store. It truly needs an upgrade. The bathroom I had was tiny, as was the shower. In fact, while showering, if you moved you would hit the lever either turning the water off or changing the temperature. Quite annoying and sometimes nearly burning myself. In general the staff was accommodating but in some cases we received rather curt responses - I would not say they were friendly and welcoming. Overall, a pleasant stay but would find a different hotel the next time.

Hotel is high above lake and the lake view with balcony room gives you a postcard image of the church on the island in the lake. Hotel is a little quirky and leave your room key when you go out since it weighs a couple of pounds. Breakfast is good and the restaurant is highly rated and does deliver but not always open. Does not have walk-in shower and tub is a high step.

We were delighted with our decision to stay at Hotel Triglav. We treated ourselves to a junior suite with balcony and very much enjoyed the views and the space. We stayed 4 nights and walked and walked and walked! We did have a car which allowed us to visit nearby locations. We enjoyed the restaurant very much with is flexible degustation approach. As some previous reviews have commented - the menu doesn't change a lot and when we ate for the third time the staff adjusted the offering for us to create something special and different. There are some cheaper places about 20 minutes walk away and even more in town which requires a taxi or a car. The wellness facilities were lovely and we also enjoyed a fabulous wine tasting in the cellar. Parking is limited if you have a car but staff help make the most of a very limited space. We had some laundry done it was very timely which was helpful. Housekeeping was always fabulous. We absolutely recommend this place if it is in your price bracket.
