Hawthorn House

My partner and I stayed here for 2 nights over the easter weekend and it was spot on. We were greeted on arrival by Lisa who was very friendly and we were given a bottle of fresh milk for our room which was a nice change from the usual milk sachets you tend to get in hotels as well as some bottled water. Our room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable and perfect for what we needed for our weekend away. They provide wifi in the hotel which was high speed and this was essential as we couldn’t get signal anywhere around the hotel area. The hosts were very friendly as were their family and we felt very welcomed in this hotel. They have a free pool table in the bar area too which was a bonus for us! The hotel is well situated and is a short walk from all the amenities bar the pleasure beach but the hosts attached a key ring with a QR code to book taxis which was useful but we found it was cheaper to use uber. The only downfall to our stay is the on street parking was not available at any point during our stay but there are plenty of car parks around the hotel and we paid £24 for 48hours which we found reasonable. As a younger couple it is usually difficult to enjoy a hotel stay as hosts often don’t trust you will look after their property but neither Wayne or Lisa made us feel like this and we are both very grateful for this, thankyou again!

B n b was very clean we all enjoyed our stay it was close to everything and everywhere we wanted to visit staff were very friendly and made you welcome, beds were comfortable and everyone was happy,would definitely stay again on our next visit

Hawthorn House was the perfect choice for our short family break to see the Illuminations. We found the place easily enough, and we were lucky enough to secure the last roadside parking spot just outside the guest house (though I had researched nearby car parks just in case). Wayne, who runs the guest house with Lisa, was there to greet us on arrival, and made us feel at home straight away. Our family room consisted of one double bed, one single bed, and an en-suite shower room. The room was very spacious, immaculately clean, warm and comfortable, tastefully decorated, and there were several little touches which showed just how much Wayne and Lisa care about guest experience, such as a fridge in the room with complimentary bottled water, fresh milk provided for teas and coffees, and - for our late-October stay - even the spare toilet rolls had been wrapped in Halloween-themed paper. The guest house also features a cosy residents' bar with a pool table, where we enjoyed a drink and a chat with Wayne and other guests on each evening of our stay. The bar was decorated for Halloween, and accompanied children are very welcome in there as well as the grown-ups, with sweets, activities and children's cocktails on offer as well as a good range of alcoholic drinks for the grown-ups. The accommodation is room-only, so you'll have to make your own plans for breakfast, but there are two cafes within a stone's throw of Hawthorn House - including one directly opposite - and you're only a short walk from town and Central Pier. Wayne is a good source of knowledge of the local eateries, and only too happy to offer recommendations. We absolutely loved our family break at Hawthorn House. We found a gem of a place which offers excellent value for money. We're already looking for an excuse to book in again!

An absolutely fantastic 2 night stay with friends at hawthorn house i would highly recommend it, the rooms are very well set out nice and bright and very very clean, tea,coffee,milk and bottled water in the rooms the ensuite had towels,soap and a selection of shower gels. Our hosts Wayne and Lisa were very welcoming and also knowledgeable about blacpool pointed us to the best places to eat and drink. We loved Johnsons bar in hawthorn house like a traditional pub. Already planning our next visit.

Just spent 2 nights at this hotel with my son Great location for all the attractions Host Wayne and Lisa were fantastic, friendly and welcoming and more than happy to relax with you in there bar area Would not hesitate to stay again when in Blackpool 5 stars

Stayed here for a weekend with my hubbie, definitely the best hotel we have stopped in whilst in Blackpool.Excellent location with lots of places to visit in walking distance. Wayne, Lisa and family were excellent hosts and made us feel so welcome nothing was to much trouble.Bedroom was light and airy and bed was so comfy. En-suite was spacious and had everything you needed for the weekend. Complementary water, and a small bottle of milk was a lovely touch along with the fridge.Fabulous stocked bar and lounge area which was nice and cosy. Will definitely be visiting again and will be definitely recommending to family and friends. Thank you for a lovely stay.
