The Royal Windsor Hotel

Absolutely disgusted by the amount I’ve paid for such small room for 5 £270 for 2 nights and my daughter had no were to sleep had to sleep in her pushchair room was tiny went downstairs to tell someone the celling was pouring with water due to the rain never got offered any help to sort it had to stick a container I had under it and it was were my daughter pushchair had to fit told them when we left and all we got was it’s an old building does not matter weather it’s old or not it should be maintained properly to charge guests that price and also went to have a shower both nights and water was freezing ran the taps in the sink for 15 mins and stayed cold same goes for shower. The cups that’s left on the side were dirty aswell as cracks every were on the celling and window frames

£160 for 2 nights in a triple room with a “sea view”. Absolutely disgraceful from the New Royal Windsor. For starters, the £50 cash deposit for damages or else you won’t get your room key. Won’t allow you to inspect the room before hand so took a video inventory as soon as we entered. Our “sea view” room was facing on to a rotten, smelly roof out back? The room it’s self? Stains on the carpet, broken drawers, broken bed frame, damage to bathroom wet wall, broken toilet roll holder …. And the stains on the mattress, illegal to allow anyone to sleep in it. Never mind charge £160. What’s worse, we had a 1 year old expected to stay in this bacteria infested sh*** hole. £10 per night parking and they ask you to leave your car keys at reception? Absolutely not! The only pleasant thing I can say about this hotel is the staff. Too bad the building and rooms let them down, or maybe they let themselves down. AVOID at all costs.

First impressions are grim trust your Instincts Missing sinage in hotel name broken windows, cigarette stumps littering the entrance Car park is an uneven bit of land at the back of the hotel and difficult to find tables and chairs in the communal/bar are are old worn and dirty Carpet is disgusting You have to pay a £50 refundable deposit - they should pay you to stay there They advertise evening entertainment this is just karaoke and children running around everywhere Needs closing down as surely doesn't meet inspection criteria Didn't risk breakfast Never again

I needed somewhere to stay in Blackpool and booked this place, I'm not going to call it a hotel!. I had to wait an age before the reception staff member could check me in, he was the only member of staff on duty. I was told that I would have to pay a £50.00 cash deposit for any damage that I might cause but providing there was no damage I would be refunded. I commented that I had stayed in hotels on numerous occasions and never had to pay a cash deposit just in case I damaged something and that I would like to inspect the room before I paid the cash deposit not after I had paid. So I ended up paying £32.50 for a room that I didn't even get to see and had to find somewhere else to stay where they didn't want a £50.00 cash deposit. Having looked at previous reviews after the event, I only wish that I had time to read them before I booked.

This place is not for you save yourself the argument with the mrs cheap doesn’t mean cheerful especially here the guy running this place seems like he’s not seen happiness since the crib dreadful character and I don’t for one second believe anyone marking this place above a 2 even if they changed the soiled and stained beds instantly is anyone but his family or friends doing a review for a free holiday I wish I could give negative star review steptoe and son springs to mind and that’s being extremely kind

We would never go back there asking for 50 pound deposit they should pay u for staying there there was no wardrobe in some rooms chairs with no legs in the room no lift so got to carry suit cases up the stairs no health safety there was a person who needed a ambulance they had to get safety equipment to get her 2 flights of stairs said entertainment on booking. Come no entertainment first night second night dj bingo no breakfast says food they put a notice up asking for every staff cook ect smoke alarm not working had no draught fosters as ran out person on reception was doing bar aswell carpet in lounge stained holes in seats larger was green buckets everywhere as leak from ceiling needs shuting down and re ramping
