Chilton Hotel

So this is supposed to be a 3 star hotel. I think it should be given no stars. Holes in the ceiling, holes in the bathroom walls, flakes of soap to wash your hands with. And to top it off, the owners of this hotel need to learn a thing or to about respecting peoples privacy. If an grown adult tells you they just want some time on there own then respect what they say instead of stalking someone round a hotel 3 times. I do not expect to have to explain myself 3 times as i wasnt in danger or doing anything wrong, i was simply wanting some time out for 10 minutes. Sort your dingy hotel out and your remote controls that doesn't work. Oh and going round stalking people on your CCTV is an invasion of privacy.

Arrogant staff from the get go… But we got past that and continued to the room the first problem I encountered was with the door even though it’s a fire door with assisted closing it did not latch and took a lot of force to shut it I didn’t realise this until I got back to the room after being out and the door was open slightly giving anyone access to all my personal belongings which I expected to be safe . Moving on the carpets was dirty along with the skirting boards. The bathroom door was just as bad to close and had a big dent granted it didn’t really matter as it was en suite so privacy wasn’t altered however the bathroom was absolutely disgraceful very very poor craftsmanship (exposed pipes,masking tape being used to hide very large cracks in the walls,paint flaking off everywhere you look) and as for the toilet I first used it late on my first night after it was flushed the tank on the rear of the toilet was refilling it was very loud and continued for a long time about a hour before I went to inspect and it was going straight down (asif it had been flushed) so the tank was never filling this proceeded to keep me awake another hour I tried calling reception on multiple occasions and no answer so I decided to have a go st fixing the problem which I was not best pleased about after all I have paid what I thought was very expensive for the quality of the room why should I be fixing there problems. I went to reception in the morning and told them to which the man said press the flush button a few times it will be okay which implies to me that this isn’t the first time it’s happened, however I had tried this the night before to no avail he then came to the room around 15 minutes later with no warning apart from hearing the keys enter the door yet again invading privacy.the tv in the room was very small and placed above a wardrobe that stands at about 5 feet tall this wouldn’t be a problem however no remote was provided so a lot of people would struggle to use the buttons on the tv which are very limited. One problem I found rather distressing was the information on fire action leaflet on the door which was left blank with no information about the assembly point also I don’t see any signs in the building directing to fire exits . the final problem I will mention was that the bathroom window handle was broke and the window couldn’t be opened causing the room to get very steamy the only way to get rid of this was to open the door into the bedroom which I then tried to open the bedroom window which was locked with no key available so no fresh air was available in the room which partned with the radiator with the heat adjustment taken off and being constantly on at night made for a extremely uncomfortable nights sleep for me and my partner.all of this came along for the price of £250 for 3 nights for a room no larger than 10foot x 10 foot. All in all very unsatisfactory and a very poor couple nights sleep I would not reccthis place to my worst enemy

The location was good 👍 however the bar opposite was open late making it difficult to get to sleep😵‍💫🎵. Double glazing would help with this.😴The room and bathroom were very dated and way way over due an update 🖌️but although very tired it was ok for 1 night🌛The entrance door key 🔑 was tricky and the guy on reception seemed a little perturbed 🫤at having to come and help us to open the 🚪 but he did! but maybe a new cylinder in it would help.🤔The check out 🧳 lady was lovely very pleasant and helpful 👋🏻😊
