OYO Hotel 33

I am not usually one to leave negative reviews but I feel that this one is very much needed. Myself and my partner had booked this hotel for NYE as it was local to an event that we was going to. Upon arriving at the hotel, the front door was locked and we was waiting for 20 minutes outside trying to call the phone number on the booking, hoping to get hold of someone. After being on hold for 20 minutes, we went to the hotel next door where we found out that they were keeping the keys for us. After a quick chat with the lady in the hotel next door, we went into Hotel 33 and was completely disgusted by the state of the place and how it was NOTHING like the photos on the booking website. The place smelled strongly like cigarette smoke and very damp. We went upstairs to our room, the room door was completely open upon getting there and we found that the bed wasn't made, there was no toilet rolls in the bathroom and the window was wide open during the heavy raining. The walls were mouldy and damp, the bathroom door was a piece of plywood and looked to have been chewed by something and none of the plug sockets worked. There was no heating at all and one of the walls in the room was just wet plaster as shown in the pictures. We were absolutely devastated. We tried to call the reception but once again no answer after trying for 15 minutes. The bathroom sink was surrounded by broken plasterboard and there was black mould growing in the corners of the ceiling too! Never again will I be staying in this hotel and after booking this hotel with the amazing pictures it is listed with, it is a complete lie and we wish we had never booked. Not for one minute in our stay did we feel safe. I hope anyone who reads this avoids ever booking here !!!

Modern rooms, good shower, nice staff. On the better end of properties in this area. Hotel was rather quiet which was great. Lots of great places to go out around here. Would definitely stay here again if in Blackpool and would be happy to recommend to others.

Room tiny, bed tiny, shower tiny, tv useless, wi fi useless, no heating.Went down for breakfast, it was cancelled short staff, no apology or refund.Went for a sleep on 2nd day and fire alarm went off constantly so packed our bags and left with 1 day to go. Total disaster
