OYO Wave Crest Hotel

Stayed here with friends for three nights,nice clean hotel,lovely staff and would definitely return,didn't have breakfast but the room was clean and tidy,all carpets were clean and fairly new,nice little reception with a small bar and a nice retro space invader machine😁

Would strongly recommend against staying here if you have a car. We got charged a £100 fine for unauthorised parking, despite paying the £10 parking fee and parked at the rear of the hotel exactly as instructed by a staff member. Contacted the OYO hotel chain customer service, and they informed us that it was 'apparently' our fault for not registering the vehicle on a 'tablet' at reception. There was no information about this, no tablet in sight, staff took the payment, and noted down our licence plate. We paid by card, and the staff member was visibly annoyed that we didn't pay in cash.

the only good thing to say about this hotel is that the rooms are clean and the beds are comfy. to be honest the only disastrous issue was the 'parking' it had to be illegal !! the owner took £10 a day for us to park our car in a 'car park' so close to the other car that there was no way of the owner of the car next to us getting in to his car and there was no way i was leaving my keys with the hotel for someone else to touch my car when i wasn't around. fast forward to Sunday morning when we had to leave to get up the road....no one around to check out (despite the fact that they offered breakfast!) and when ourselves and another couple went to leave we found out cars completely blocked in. called the number we had for the hotel numerous times with no answer. my partner started chapping the back door to wake the owners and eventually the lady owner came out, she had the keys for one car that would luckily managed to get both cars out, she asked me if i would drive the other car, absolutely not !!! one of the other guys agreed to do it. so 30 minutes late in leaving not good at all. no apology at all from owner. you couldn't pay us to stay here again, far too dodgy

I'd never stay there again ever awful place. Room too small dodgy electrics. You can here every move of everyone during the night. So don't expect to sleep. Put in room above the disco with no one there. Just loud music. Got zero sleep. Check out impossible early. No one available so just dumped keys and left

Couldn’t rate zero! Would have! Pictures are inaccurate! It’s shabby with no running water in the showers! Smells of sewage and no breakfast served. Parking terrible “valet parking” in the description if you count the owner telling you to just block another resident in valet then maybe it is! Owners likes cash for drinks if not a tab is allowed then he’ll block your car in and make up a number the next day!!! Avoid at all costs!

Nice clean room, comfy bed and huge bath sheets. Fairly basic hotel with no frills, needs redecorating as fairly dated. Breakfast limited but okay. Very friendly and helpful owner. Parking at rear for £10 per night.

Booked for 2 nights Friday-Sunday. Arrived and checked in quickly,parked car and went to room. Nice and clean warm room,double bed tv and bsthroom. We went out into Blackpool and got back and straight to bed. Warm comfy bed. Had a wonder round next morning and had breakfast as did'nt book breakfast at hotel. Had a good laugh with Taz manager and found him very helpful. Overall had a great stay,could'nt fault hotel and would use again.

Absolutely brilliant stay. Beyond expectations. We visited for the fireworks display with our young son on 15th Oct 22. We were originally booked into a different hotel but they cancelled with hours to go before our visit due to getting more money locally (from the horses mouth). Oh how grateful we are otherwise we might not have come across, Wave crest Hotel. The room was spotlessly clean, and I mean spotless. Check in was great. Very Very friendly. Arranged the busy carpark to allow us an early start the following morning at 7am. Just a downright genuinely lovely guy. The lounge was large with plenty of seating space, a pool table and a pay to play arcade game, all of which we used and enjoyed. Probably more I could go into detail about and all would be positive. We are 100% booking again for next year's fireworks. Thanks guys.

Arrived this afternoon after only booking late last night as a one night stay for my husbands birthday. Easily checked in even though the owner was away and had left the hotel in his brothers capable hands. No parking spaces at first as next door had taken some as their own (happens too often apparently). Given keys to room and on arrival looks fab. Gorgeous ensuite toilet and shower, 3 beds (1 double and 1 single), tea/coffee making facilities AND biscuits, and plenty of storage. Lovely and clean and beds feel great (fingers crossed for tonight). No breakfast available as owner was away, but very near to the front and some lovely cafes. Parking was £10 but nice to have it on site and not have to worry about finding any. Nice and near the pleasure beach/ central pier etc.
