Black Pearl Luxury Apartments

Smelly, Damp was my initial thoughts on these apartments. Trying to be positive - the set up is good in terms of size and number of rooms in apartments. Been bitten to shreds overnight in my stay as did my friend. Not so sure it’s the best. Sorry!

Location is good, also communication with the owners was nice and easy. We stayed here last year also and it was so much nicer then. The place needs a really good clean, the oven was absolutely filthy and couldn’t be used. 1 tiny frying pan to cook breakfast for 6 people!! There was a big rip in the sofa in the front room. Very noisy at night and in the morning so we didn’t get much sleep at all.

Did someone say luxury??? Absolute dive. The list is endless. You couldn’t even pay me to stay here again. We ended our holiday early as was so revoltingly filthy. Flies everywhere. Manager onsite came to see when we were checking and didn’t even apologise. Ending 3 children’s holidays early without a single sorry is appalling.

Pleasantly suprised after reading some bad reviews! These apartments were great for what we wanted. They were very modern, clean and comfortable and very close and central to all attractions. We were a group of friends attending a concert at the Opera House, which was only a few minutes walk away. Do not let the bad reviews put you off! You can park at nearby car parks and drop off and unload (for 10 minutes) just along road from apartments. Free overnight parking from 6pm - 8am I'm street but decided to leave car on car park as didn't fancy getting up early to move it. We stayed in Conch Pearl, which was at the top, so there were a couple of flights of stairs to climb, so would probably choose the ground floor apartment next time.

Trust me… Do not stay here!! We booked this for our family with 3 young boys. The location is great, however the Appartment was absolutely filthy and had not been cleaned; dirty carpets, all crockery & glasses covered in food, mouldy walls above the cot, sofas stained, thick dust, hairs and dirt in the sink and shower, nails sticking out of the floor, broken mirror with sharp edge sticking out at eye height, torn bedding, yellow stained bed cover, blank marks all over the walls, food still in the oven from previous guests, the worst part was the mould and damp all over the wall above the baby’s cot! A huge health risk as 2 of our children have asthma! Our childrens white socks were black underneath when we left! We didn’t end up staying as it was unsafe for young children and was so dirty, this ruined our day as we then had to then drive home and children were gutted. A lot of work is needed to get this place safe and clean.

Don't waste your money, find somewhere cleaner. Location was excellent which is why I've given 1 star but accommodation is tired and need attention. On arrival after a long train journey we dumped our bags had a quick check noticing a few issues which we reported and headed straight out, however on our return we were shocked to see how dirty the apartment was and how much was broken. The kitchen lights didn't work, sofa bed broken, oven had previous occupiers food in, bathroom door didn't shut, half the lamps didn't work, black sock fluff all over the carpets, dirty stains on the carpets, mirrors and walls, the ensuite bathroom door had to be kept closed due to the waste pipe smell, the list is endless. Worst of all found hairs in the beds and on the pillows, I wouldn't walk barefoot so kept my socks on the whole time. Don't believe the *********** reviews like we did, spend your money elsewhere.
