Binna Burra Sky Lodges

The view from our 3 bedroom villa was absolutely incredible and exceeded our expectations. The walks around binna burra were great. We loved the villa but it did have a few maintenance issues

This was my 2nd time staying at the Binna Burra Sky Lodges, after the bushfires hit the Binna Burra Lodge in 2019. It was fortunate that the Sky Lodges seemed relatively unscathed by the bushfires that ravaged the park. The Sky Lodges are beautifully furnished, with lots of beverages, utensils, laundry facilities and a spa bath. The only limiting aspect of service is that there were no bathroom slippers provided to shield our feet from the stone cold floor. Due to unforeseen work circumstances, a personal friend who was supposed to drive us up to the Sky Lodge, and accompany us on a bush walk had to cancel on us about a week before our booking. I called the property hotline and Lodge duty manager, Pip was really responsive to recommend a private transport operator to ferry us up from Nerang Train Station to Binna Burra and back. As we arrived at Binna Burra, I was surprised to find that the check-in for the Binna Burra Sky Lodges has moved to the Teahouse, which is about 200-300 metres down the road from where the Sky Lodges were located. Thankfully, we had an awesome duty manager, Justine who allayed our concerns- allowing us to deposit our bags as we embarked on a hike to Daves Creek Circuit. She also had to manage and deal with my unreasonable, demanding father who dropped out early in the hike and hounded her for our whereabouts when we were uncontactable due to poor signal reception. When we checked-in at reception, Justine provided exceptional customer service by driving us up to the Sky Lodges and porting our heavy bags into the room. She also approved of us checking-out by leaving our keys in room, instead of having to lug all our belongings down to reception.

We stayed in the adults only tiny wild houses and loved every second. So tranquil and to be surrounded by the beauty of the Gondwana Rainforest was truly special. Thoroughly recommend this experience. We purchased the daily breakfasts and nightly three course dinners for an extra special treat, and can’t recommend the food enough. A wonderful few days in the hinterland. Will be back for sure.

Our stay in the Binna Burra Sky Lodges was just amazing with breathtaking views over Lamington National Park to the Gold Coast and out to sea. Our Sky Lodge was extremely comfortable with luxurious bathrooms, very comfortable beds and a fully equipped kitchen. Binna Burra also has a restaurant that offered some plant based meals, and a gift shop. They are in the process of replacing their reception lodge which was burnt down in the 2019 fires. The walks from Binna Burra are excellent with good bird and wild life spottings. Would definitely recommend.

Nous y sommes depuis le 29/09 pour 5 nuits. Très bel appartement Sky home. Vue magnifique, calme absolu. Tout confort. Staff vraiment adorable et serviable. Rien à redire… Par contre là ou ça coince : le restaurant très très moyen. Cher : un dîner coûte 55$ Aus, le breakfast (ex : 2 gros toasts-beurre-confiture 12$ Aus.+ chocolat au lait 5$ Aus). Choix moyen de 3 plats aux entrées, plats, desserts. Veut faire de la cuisine sophistiquée alors que simples seraient les bienvenus (ex : pas de salade, ni frites ou pâtes ou riz…). Carte menu identique tous les jours sans changement. Pas de petite épicerie pour dépannage. 1ère petite ville à 46km… Télévision dans l’appart catastrophique, fonctionne très mal (antenne) : « plus de réseau ». Pas de wifi dans les chambres sauf et uniquement au resto. Bref, les soirées sont très calmes…
