Stayed in a lodge for a wedding. Lodge was warm and comfy, hot tub was great. Plenty of room for two people in the lodge, 4 would have been a bit of a squeeze. Breakfast in the lodge was lovely. The castle wedding was spectacular. The staff were brilliant, so friendly and helpful

Had an overnight stay in Feb from a Black Friday deal. Excellent room and bar in very very nice 4* hotel. Bar is not big and could get very busy if a wedding is in. This hotel is very much a country castle wedding hotel. This is a real country castle hotel, quite remote so a car is a must. Actual hotel is a very long driveway off the main road about 1 mile outside Biggar (you can’t walk to Bigger). Food in the restaurant was a little disappointing/ lukewarm. I think the mistake we made was taking Sunday (lunch) Roast (the daily special) on a Sunday night so we probably got the remainders from lunch. Breakfast was very good and standard of service from all staff was really excellent. Would go again

The hotel hosted my daughters wedding recently and it was absolutely fantastic. The venue is superb as was the service from all the staff from start to finish…nothing was too much trouble and they ensured my daughter had the perfect day…they even managed to get the sun shining for the whole day😀😀 I would highly recommend a visit

My fiancée and I are booked for our wedding here in 2026. We have visited twice - once via appoin**ent and then a follow up during one of Cornhill's wedding exhibitions. We viewed around 6 venues around central Scotland before we seen Cornhill. We were instantly taken by the castle and its surroundings. What set apart Cornhill as our venue of choice was the staff and the tour of the facilities. Their tour and all the little details far exceeded any other venue we seen. Our first visit was 11am on Saturday after they had hosted a wedding the night before. The bride from the previous night was still around with her family but the venue was already immaculate and we got to see the rooms - how they managed this is beyond me. It was Laura that showed us around and helped us with everything and her professionalism was unmatched. She blew away the staff at all the other venues we visited and a large part of our decision to book this venue for our most special day was how comfortable we felt putting our trust in Laura. She must make Cornhill a fortune. Looking forward to summer 2026 and staying 2 times between now and then (we're going to be staying overnight at their lodges on the date of our wedding day 2024 and 2025). Thank you, Jamie and Chloe

We stayed at the castle as part of a wedding celebration. From arriving to leaving every member of staff was friendly, courteous and professional. They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The wedding experience was top-notch, and Katie made sure everything went like clockwork. We stayed in a lodge, which was comfortable and clean. Great job, Cornhill Castle your hotel is magnificent and the best bit is your staff.

The hotel was clean and the ambiance will definitely make you feel like you’re in your own world of fairytale. The staff were attentive and friendly. Our 3 course meal dinner was superb! Great way to celebrate our wedding anniversary!

From arriving to departure you could not fault this hotel. We stayed over Chris**as and the welcome was wonderful. The staff are helpful friendly and way above the average staff they go above and beyond for you. My husband celebrated his birthday on boxing day and they surprised him with a beautiful desert board. The food was good and the hotel very relaxing our bedroom very comfortable you could not ask for more. We had to leave before breakfast so they packed us food to take with us bacon rolls delicious. Thank-you for making our stay memorable. We hope to return.

Just returned from a stay at Cornhill to celebrate my 30th Birthday in the most beautiful Balmoral Suite. We had afternoon tea on arrival - the best we've had, so filling! Dinner & Breakfast in the restaurant, and cocktails from the bar were all amazing, could not fault a thing. The staff were all lovely and friendly and helped my husband with secretly booking things to surprise me. The hotel is absolutely stunning and was still decorated for Chris**as with so many trees! We will definitely be back at some point in the future and can't stop telling family & friends about our experience. It really was magical. Thanks again for helping me to celebrate my birthday in style! The most beautiful castle ever!

We stayed in one of the ‘luxury’lodges For a wedding with our grandson. My wife and my grandson slept in the 2 small single beds in the bed room. I slept on the sofa bed which was very uncomfortable with a thin mattress and support bars picking through.I also found it difficult to get the frame out and in the sofa. Another problem that has been pointed out by other guests is the green fire alarm light on the ceiling that is very bright and the fact that the velux window in the main area doesn’t have a black out blind. We had a breakfast basket which we found very disappointing on the Saturday. We couldn’t use the hot tub due to the flys. On the Sunday we had breakfast in the hotel I asked if they had fresh orange and was told no , Orange juice was brought out after I finished my breakfast? My wife asked for toast again toast was brought out after we finished our breakfast There is supposed to be a blue tooth speaker in the lodge and I had to point out to reception there wasn’t one as there is a brochure in the lodge saying you will be charged if it is removed Overall the wedding was well organised and a great day But for £300 per night I think the lodges are overpriced
