Nice good service

Het hotel is goed. Het onbijt is zeer uitgebreid, erg vers en heerlijk!

25年前住过，转了几手，從新裝修，名字也改了几次，不过對它还是有点感情，所以定了它。

性價比很高，基本條件和設施都不錯，早餐也好

性價比超級高，在車站附近還有早餐，就是網絡不行直接沒法辦公

房間小而美，安靜並乾淨，性價比非常高

太小了，早餐單一

空調不怎麼好用

I have booked the City Hotel 2-3 times and have always been delighted with the hotel, the rooms and the cleanliness. However, this time my stay in room 216 was very disappointing. The walls had relatively many stains, there were mosquito and spider nests and the shower curtain was yellow and calcified. The mattress was also not the newest. With a little renovation of the room, like painting the walls and replacing some things, the room would be top again. If it had been my first time at the City Hotel, I would not book it again. Therefore, I strongly recommend future guests, if they get room 216, to ask for another room."

We had a reservation for a one night stay at the City Hotel in Biel. We arrived around 10:30 pm and found the room (card) keys that were left for us, as no one was at the front desk at that time. But when we went to the room the sensor that reads your card was missing. It was truly surreal. We had no way of getting into the room. We called the hotel's emergency number and the fellow at the other end said that he was in Zurich and he couldn't do anything for us. So here we were at 11 pm on a Sunday in Biel without any place to stay at night. With a relative's help who lives in Switzerland we eventually managed to find a room in another hotel. When I called the hotel the next day Patritcio told me that since the room assigned to us was the only room with the missing card reader it was natural that they would forget about it! The only positive thing I can say about the hotel is that they refunded us for the room as well as the taxi we took to get to the other hotel. So I appreciate that. But please beware of this hotel. You can get stranded like we did.

Great location - 3 mins from train, decent rooms, modern bathrooms. Friendly service. Very good breakfast and the restaurant seems to serve until late for dinner. On a major road, so aim for a room at the back facing the "Hof"

Average hotel, room was clean and quite big. Bath is renovated, the rest is all becoming a bit old. The street is very busy and also quite loud. Proximity to lake is awesome. You car park your car behind the house. Breakfast is good, there is a good variety.

If your not used to off brand hotels you will not enjoy this hotel. It lacks most all comforts a business traveler has come to enjoy . First off the room size is so small you have to go outside to change your mind. The showers are ridiculously appointed with the shower head in the center of the tub not at the ends. This makes no sense and as a taller person. It's not very comfortable. Got to Shave? Better do your hair first or you risk electrocution. The sink fill to the very top with water and will not drain for at least an hour. If you happen to use the hair dryer and it falls into full sink, look out... Need laundry service ? Better plan for a day trip to some magical laundry mat . This is a huge inconvenience personally . Oh speaking of laundry . Took 4 days of asking for an iron and ironing board. Really how is this not in every room. Hungry ? Forget about it. Other than a subpar breakfast buffet which is like ground hogs day that's all you get. They have a full service restaurant buy serve no food. Guess you can order some McDonald's for 35 CHF. That's for 1 meal. Want to relax and watch TV? Well your laptop probably has a bigger screen. As I travel to Biel 8 to 10 times a year I will not be staying here any longer. I may not even complete my current reservation. Very disappointed. So either I have super high expectations or all these other reviewers have very low standards. Cheers.

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever been with the worst service ever. My room key didn’t work at night when I try to open the room. Once you go down in the reception you have nobody there. You have to call a number in the reception where a guy from Zurich pick your phone and just ask you to see if there’s a master key under a box , this key was not working as well. So I was about 2h in the reception trying to contact this guy and he couldn’t help me at all and when I said I would call the police to help me he just hang out the phone in a very rude way. So they don’t find a solution for you to sleep and you have to wait until the next morning. I had to sleep in the floor of another room of a person I knew who was staying in a single room. If you end up to have a really serious emergency you are on your own and nobody will help you!! Ivo Oliveira 10/10/2021
