Camping Erreka

My family and I, together with another family, stayed in Erreka Camping in august 2024. It has been the worst experience I've had camping ever. Firstly, we did not have hot water during those 4 days (3 nights) at the camping. The experience was particularly unpleasant for the kids, who had to shower in cold water, one of the kids even got ill, coughing after the trembling caused by the cold. What most amazed me is that nobody informed us of this circumstance at the check-in. It had to be us that few ours later, talking with another guest, found out about the existence of bungalow 81, which was in the other side of the camping (so that we had to be walking almost 15 minutes to get there) from our tents, and had to wait a long queue every day in order to have a hot water shower. Also, the last day of our stay we could not use the electricity supply in our parcels. We were not given any satisfactory explanation for this new inconvenience. The receptionist gave us an email address indicating us that reclamations should be sent there but after a month we haven't received any reply yet. This is why I'm writing this review. Trust me, do never go to this camping.

There was no chemical toilet emptying and we were told to visit the local supermarket. The paths and steps weren’t maintained and dangerous. The service at the restaurant was not attentive and poor. Waited ages for service and had to prompt the waitress to take our order. Only one sanitary block for whole site.

Hello We booked a mobile home for two weeks (8th until 22th of july 2023) at camping area in Bidart. Two adults and three children. We paid 2500 euros for two weeks and we were really looking forward to two awesome weeks in Bidart. Unfortunately we got More than disappointed. As we arrived on Saturday, 8th of July, we moved into a dirty and broken mobile home. As you can see in the pictures, this mobile home was definetly not clean. It seems like there was no clean up since weeks. So first we had to clean the house to feel a bit comfy. This is by far not the end of the story. For eight days we smelled excrement inside and outside the house. In the first week we went to the camping office twice to declare that something’s wrong with the mobile home. But nothing really happened. After eight days with a lot of really bad smells and excrement inside and outside the house we went to the office again with the request to solve the problem, to fix the toilette and the kitchen. Finally someone came the day after and helped us. All in all we had to stay with three children in a mobile home smelling like excrement and even seeing the excrement inside and outside. Altough we asked three times for help and repair. That was absolutely not okay and isn’t a standart at all!

Spoke to reception upon arrival regarding the condition of the toilet and shower blocks. Nice team but no improvement since our arrival on Wednesday. Waiting for a call or reply to my email regarding the state of the sanitation blocks! 4 star??????? Currently on site. 🤢

The stay was ok but we had to clean a bit extra upon arrival. The 3 bedroom caravan was spacious for a family of 4. No air conditioning and it gets a bit moist inside. Luckily it was cooler weather during our stay. The vegetation around the caravans make it feel a bit congested. Overall ok as a budget alternative (compared to local hotels). Location is excellent between Biarritz and Spanish border.

Never book a campsite of Seagreen. They are plane thieves. If you book via their site and you do a downpayment they add extra limitations in the Confirmation which are not mentioned on the booking form. We call them the day that you cancel your booking by sending an email but they never respond to your email. I even paid extra for a cancelation insurance, after calling them when they did not respond to my emails they simply say that my reason for canceling does not fall under the insurance and that I won't get my money back. So again these people are thieves, so don't go to any of their 7 campsites.
