Mayfair Convention

I am so used to the standard of hotels in India (even 5 stars) that I don't expect much anymore... This hotel surprised me positively. It has a wealth of details in the decoration, you can see the care in everything. The most beautiful and cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in (I have been traveling here for 5 years). The service is better than a 5 star hotel. I have dietary restrictions and they met all my needs. Excellent rooms, comfort, quiet... exceptional breakfast. Service that I have not received in any other hotel so far. estou tão acostumada com o padrão de hotéis na Índia (mesmo sendo 5 estrelas ) que nem mais espero muita coisa ... Este hotel me surpreendeu positivamente. Tem uma riqueza de detalhes na decoração, percebe-se o cuidado em tudo. Hotel mais bonito e mais limpo que fiquei (viajo há 5 anos aqui) . Atendimento melhor que hotel 5 estrelas. Tenho restrições alimentares e supriram todas as minhas necessidades. Excelente quarto, conforto, o silêncio.. café da manhã excepcional . Atendimento que não recebi em nenhum outro hotel até então.

As its name suggests, this hotel is basically a convention centre, with several large banquet halls and conference spaces. It is also a 3-star hotel, which makes it a convenient place for large conferences where delegates can stay in the hotel while attending conferences. I was here for the Odisha Literary Festival, a two-day event that was held in a sprawling banquet hall on the first floor. The room was well-appointed, acoustics were good, and audio and video facilities were good, geared to make sure even people sitting right at the back didn’t miss out on what was happening. Buffet lunch was provided in a smaller room on the second floor, and was overall pretty good. Service was adequate too.

Good Business hotel with some major hospitality issues. We had requested for an early checkin at 12 noon , the room while being escorted to reeled of suffocating alchohol smell.Upon mentioning Mr BADAL said it shal resolve in sometime as it was a recent checkout.I couldn sleep properly because of the immense stink and requested at 5pm and left for conference. At 10 pm staff informed inability to correct the issue but due to a schedule at 4am on my end i couldn change the room. While checkout i just gave a feedback to the female receptionist and mr badal started saying "its not our fault yu wanted a early checkin" Going ahead when nudged by the female receptionist talking to me to not interrupt he shut her up to argue and defend himself. The breakfast was very nice and so were other staff behaviour.But a room like that should not be cleared by housekeeping and aloted to a guest. Felt bad for the female employee whose voice was was disrespected and also as a women customer felt uncomfortable by the blatant attitude of ahut up and listen. Mr Badal times have moved ahead for women to not have a voice.
