The hotel itself is excellent. We went on a tour of Nepal and this hotel was the one we liked the most. We stayed in a lovely room. There was plenty of space and a veranda. The bed was very comfortable especially the pillows. There was always some traditional music playing in the reception and dining room which I enjoyed. The food was excellent and we were fortunate to be on a full board basis. We had mainly buffets and there was such a wide choice of food and always really tasty. The lunch and evening buffets always had an extensive range of salads including bean and chickpea shoots which I’ve not had before. There are a lot of vegetarian dishes, both Asian and western, which were very good. There was also a spa an outside swimming pool and a gym which we didn’t get to go to. The hotel seemed to have all the facilities you would expect from a hotel of its star ratings. The hotel reminded me of being on a river cruise because there were excursions included, including a visit to a tribal village, a boat ride and safari in Chitwan National Park and a visit to a crocodile sanctuary. There was also a cultural event one evening where we saw a tribal dance display. Our guides on the excursions were Roshan and Khem. They were excellent and were very knowledgeable. They made sure we were comfortable and safe. We managed to see deer, rhinos, bears, monkeys and peacocks among other animals. The hotel staff were fantastic. They were so friendly and so helpful. Here are some names I would like to mention: Tuk and Sabrina on reception and the waiting staff: Shiva, Anjali, Kamal, Nabina and a couple of people who just had “Trainee” on his name tag! I didn’t get all their names, particularly the chefs and housekeeping staff and the others but they were all so helpful and made us feel so welcome. I had a really wonderful experience staying at this hotel.
