Lovely guest house owned by a charming couple, Chris and Julie. The rooms were clean and charming and the breakfasts were great. We stayed in Room 1 which had the cutest tucked down a few stairs bathroom. The house dates from 1862 and has little quirks here and there. Chris is a fount of information on local walks and sights. The location is perfect.; a short walk from the train station and near some very good pubs and restaurants. It is a wonderful location for visiting Snowdonia with buses and trains to everything. We loved our stay here.

We had a most enjoyable stay at Garth Dderwen. Julie and Chris were very attentive hosts and the house was a perfect place to stay for our walking holiday. Substantial breakfasts and good conversations with Chris about what to look our for on our walks. The house is set back from the main road so the nights were peaceful. We were made to feel very welcomed to the B & B and also to Betws-y-coed.

Nice, clean family guesthouse. The hosts were most helpful and friendly. While the breakfasts are from 8 to 9am, it suited us and the idea of detailing your preferences the night before was excellent. There is a great selection and their "special "Welsh Rarebit was sumptious. We had the top two rooms which were quiet with fluffy towels cradelling a packet of Haribos each! Handy for a sugar rush at the end of a hard hike. The hosts very kindly helped dry all our sodden gear after two days of hiking in deluge conditions. They were also very knowledgable on good hiking trails nearby. There was good off-street parking if somewhat a tight entry/exit if other cars are parked opposite the enterance. No hesitation in recommending this accommodation and would like to visit again.

We stayed for three nights for a UK break away of walks including Snowdon. The b&b was an ideal location for our days out being just a 20 minute bus from Snowdon and a 30 minute drive from Conwy and Llandudno. The hosts were very welcoming and hospitable and gave us some very helpful advice to enhance our time on holiday. The breakfast was lovely with a variety of options - we think it is a great idea to have guests fill out a short form with their breakfast choices the day before so your specific breakfast can be ready for you in the morning. Would not hesitate to stay here again when we next go to North Wales or recommend this b&b to anyone going on holiday to the area!

Wat een super guesthouse is dit! Een prachtig gerenoveerd victoriaans huis met fijne kamers voorzien van alles wat je bij een guesthouse mag verwachten. De eigenaren zijn zeer benaderbaar en vertellen je graag wat je wil weten. Ze zijn zeer geïnteresseerd in de gast (zonder opdringerig te zijn) zodat ze zinvolle tips kunnen geven bij de plannen van de gasten. Zo kregen we van de heer des huizes de tip bij onze geplande wandeling om die tegen de klok in de toen Ipv het rondje met de klok mee. Dat leverde volgens hem mooiere plaatjes op plus net iets minder zwaar. Helemaal waar. Het ontbijt heeft vers fruit, verse wafels en naast het standaard repertoire specials die je kan bestellen. Alles tip top verzorgt. Geen minpunt te bedenken.
