Bethel is a challenging environment for a hotel. Bethel is a location where expectations must match living in isolated expensive western Alaska. It has a good location for the hospital and library. The Long House staff were courteous and helpful. The furniture was okay, and their was some cleaning oversights - one table top needed dusting. The bathroom was clean. The rooms were functional over flair. I was able to sleep very well and did not hear a thing through the night. The restaurant connected to the hotel made the stay easier. I forgot to check out on time as I was working. They were courteus and gracious as I was 15 minutes late.

Flew into Bethel and had a online reservation with confirmation number. Got to the hotel and they mentions that their online system isn’t working so they would not have our reservations. Long and behold they didn’t and told us they were completely booked. No options or solutions offered by the hotel either. Just a nothing we can do. Several people in front of us had the same issue. No warning or notification on their website to indicate that either.
