La Plage Motel

We arrived, found out that an email should have been sent with an entry code. No email was received & we could not reach the owners. Their phone number said to speak with someone to call between 9am & 4pm. After a frustrating out, we left $200 poorer (unrefundable) & continued our trip, staying somewhere else. After we checked in - we received an email from the owner who was apologetic, but what a terrible system.

Probably the nicest motel owner we have ever meet. Everything was perfect and they were so keen to guide us and make sure that our stay was memorable.

Very low price for the quality of the view and the clean installations! We had few questions for the staff and they were very friendly and very helpful. They made a great first impression for the place! The motel is right by the St-Lawrence river, with the majority of rooms having a private balcony with a view directly at the river. Sunset on the left, light from the sunrise coming from the right! The motel is probably freshly renovated; the bathroom's tiles, the room's floor and the wall's paint were clean and modern. Bathroom soaps are high-quality-products locally-sourced. The room included a small fridge and free coffee, both clean appliances and very appreciated! Only inconvenient : it is probably an old building because it was really not soundproof between the rooms. Fortunately, everything is on one floor so no stepping above your head. The location is nice, easy to access, and close to Montmagny for grocery and restaurants. The motel has a private free charging station for electric car (1 x 240V) and it is located near four public fast charging stations. We went there in (snowy) April and it was still worth it since we needed to find a place to stay near the Montmagny hospital anyway.

What a beautiful location and well appointed motel on the beautiful St. Lawrence, with a waterfall and The River - off the balcony!

We had a code to get our key so we didn't see any actual people. Our neighbours had a problem with their smoke alarm beeping and they didn't know what to do or how to contact anyone. There were four of us and although the room did have two double beds, it was VERY crowded. The bathroom was tiny - if you are even a bit overweight, it might be difficult to get in. There was also a problem with turning on the shower - we all got drenched. The wifi was unreliable. (We were in the Room 10 which felt as if it were an after-thought.) On the plus side, the beds were comfortable, although we had been told there wasn't really a view, we did have a slice of the river from the balcony. Unexpectedly, it was very quiet and we all slept very well. The pillows were the best we had had on our trip. The breakfast next door was fantastic as was the beach view.

Nous avons passé par ce motel dans le cadre d'un road trip de 10 jours au Québec. Cette chambre était l'une des plus chères dans la gamme d'hôtel que nous avons eues: la plus belle vue certes, mais pas la plus confortable... Nous avons donc passé une nuit dans la chambre No 3 de ce motel au bord du fleuve (lit queen...) . L'emplacement du motel est clairement bien placé. Un parking est juste devant, et nous avons pu garer la voiture quasiment devant notre porte. Pas de réception lors de l'accueil, mais nous avons reçu le jour précédent un courriel nous indiquant quelle chambre était la nôtre et comment récupérer le code de ladite chambre lors de notre arrivée. Le motel jouxte un restaurant du même nom (mêmes propriétaires). Ainsi, pas de déjeuner inclus dans le prix de la chambre au motel mais nous avons eu la possibilité de prendre au restaurant un petit déjeuner à emporter et le manger sur notre terrasse de la chambre. (manger au restaurant avec la même vue sur le fleuve était possible également). La chambre était convenable, (attention toutefois pour le personnel de nettoyage à porter attention aux détails: compter les serviettes de bain (il en manquait une), bien nettoyer aussi les coins ..). La salle de douche était convenable également (pommeau à l'européenne contrairement à ce qu'on trouve souvent au Québec). La chambre était équipée des installations habituelles (de quoi préparer un café/thé, frigo, climatisation, etc). La literie était convenable et propre. Lors de notre arrivée, la lampe de chevet ne fonctionnait pas et nous avons demandé de l'aide à côté au restaurant; une personne nous a été envoyée sur le champ pour changer l'ampoule. Globalement, nous avons dormi au calme. Point négatif toutefois: le fleuve étant à quelques pas, il y a de nombreux moustiques; malgré des moustiquaires aux fenêtres et beaucoup de précaution pour fermer rapidement la porte, nous avons été piquées à de nombreuses reprises... nous avons découvert le lendemain que la moustiquaire de la salle de bain n'est pas "étanche" et que des moustiques s'y étaient donc faufilés...

Petite escapade d’une nuit en amoureux. La chambre était parfaite! Propreté exemplaire, savon et gel de douche produits locaux, pomme de douche effet pluie, lit, oreiller super confortable, rénovée au goût du jour, cafetière Nespresso, frigo, et que dire de la vue!! Malgré le vent très fort qui nous a empêché de profiter de notre balcon, nous avons dormi la porte patio entrouverte avec le bruit des vagues. Parfait de A à Z! Et que dire du brunch au restaurant! Nous le recommandons et pour notre part, nous y retournerons à coup sûr!
