This hotel in Cancun had the worst service I’ve ever experienced. I expect top-notch service when I go on an expensive vacation, but that wasn’t the case here. Every aspect of my stay was a struggle. Getting a plate or fork to eat was a hassle. I needed to find someone to get me water, which should have been brought to me. When I sat at a table to eat, I expected a waiter to come over and ensure that the table was clean, that I had silverware, glasses, water, and napkins. Every little thing was a struggle. The bartenders were indifferent and didn’t pay attention to us. We had to scream to get a drink. Our room ran out of shower gel and conditioner. It literally took them 3 days and 9 phone calls to finally get it. Extremely frustrating. We asked for our luggage to be picked up at 8 am, but they only came at 8:20. I couldn’t eat breakfast before my flight because I was waiting for them. It took another 20 minutes to check out. There was only one person working at the desk, and they were struggling with the credit card terminal for a while. There should have been four other people behind that front desk, considering the line was getting really big to check out. The facilities were nice, though. The pool area and lobby area were all very nice. The beach wasn’t so nice, though. There was a lot of seaweed, which is expected in this area this time of year. The beach chairs and lounges weren’t great either. Most were breaking and uncomfortable, which was okay. And again, it was a struggle to get someone to set up an umbrella. No one came over to ask if we wanted drinks. The service is where this hotel fails terribly. I would never stay here again.
