Casamaïa Apartments

Had a fantastic stay at Casamaïa. On arrival all staff were very friendly and welcoming. The location of the apartments are spectacular with beautiful sea views. The pool area of the apartment is very clean and quiet, but there is also the option of using the pools and facilities in the other hotels within the resort. We would like to give a special mention to Cristina who went over and above the call of duty in looking after our requirements during our stay. We will be forever grateful. A little gem! You may not be centrally located but you cannot beat the view and the peace and quiet. Transportation is only provided down and up the winding hills as the opening season begins. The bus stops at the base of the property where you can access local buses. There is an option to dine at the other two hotels on the property. I found them to be expensive. The spa is absolutely wonderful. Anna is so polite and accommodating. I ended my vacation with a facial. One of the best I have ever had. The apartments are very comfortable. Everything you need in a basic kitchen. If you are looking to be located around the shops and restaurant this is not for you unless you are willing to travel to them. I received exceptional hospitality from Silvia who made my vacation a place I would want to return to.

We enjoyed a fabulous week in Benalmadena staying in the Casamaia Apartments. Very clean and comfortable with great views of the sea and bay round to Fuengirola. Just a few things that could be improved on would be a small sharp knife for preparing fruit and vegetables. A tin opener, a masher and a fish slice in the kitchen would have been good. The towels are very small but more were instantly provided on request. Our only real downside was the hot tub featured in the blurb was not working and we were expected to pay 20 Euros per person each day to use the indoor spa and swimming pool. Casamaia is about 7KM away from Central Benalmadena but is ideally placed for very affordable buses all along the Costa Del Sol. The nearest train station at Carvajal is a 15 minute walk away with very regular trains. The staff, Sylvia in particular, were very friendly and helpful.

This is absolutely the most perfect place for a Family to Holiday. The Apartments are Beautiful, spacious and well equipped, each one has 2 bedrooms, and 2 balconies per Apartment. The complex is safe, secure, and manned 24 hours. The pool area is wonderful and quiet, atop a hillside, with Fabulous views 360. Cabanas available by the pool, and additional seating poolside too, there is a bar, but its only used for weddings and private events, however we made good use of the Freezer! The Apartment building is a part of a much larger complex of huge Hotels, and you have access to all pools, entertainment and Bars, however, they cannot access the Apartment building, so privacy and peace is what you return to. There is a complimentary shuttle bus that takes you round the complex, every 10/15 minutes, and runs until midnight, however the walk really isn't worth a grumble, especially when you have 3 opportunities to stop at the other venues and enjoy a drink and entertainment en route. Closest bar is the Fabulous Gecko, 5 minutes from the drop off point ( walk to the right of the great big Elephant Roundabout) with beachtop bar, DJ's, comfy beanbags, and a great little food shack in the corner, serving the best Cerviche on the beach, and very child friendly, at all times. Beach is another 5/10 minutes on foot, (dependant on how many dogs you stop to pet) but it's beautiful scenery all round, and a pleasant and comfortable walk for most ages. Supermarket is on the main street, and sells fresh pastries all day, and prepared to eat fruit, which was a winner for the beach. We walked to Torremolinos, ( left of the Elephant Roundabout) and Fuengirola, ( to the right) but both can be easily accessed by bus. There is a local bus pass that is 10 e, and you can easily get a weeks travel by this alone, (bought from tobacconist). The Lobby area, is beautiful, but clearly very underused, the Children utilised it for shade and reading space, snacking and Social media updates... Hanging chairs, beautiful glass tables, quirky furniture, a purple glass 4 storey staircase, glass elevators, trailling planting from top to bottom, and on the top floor is a communal balcony, where the views are perfect. Others have mentioned the lack of reception and staff, but it literally is 1 minute from the entrance, and really no issue. To summise, a very very relaxing and peaceful holiday, in Beautiful surroundings, with my favourite people, and YES!!! i would 100% return.

Definitely not 4 star apartments! Issues started when we arrived as we were not informed you had to check in at hotel beside apartments. So had to lug suitcases back up hill to check in. Beds quite hard and uncomfortable. Limited cooking facilities for self catering - no oven or toaster. First floor apartment has limited views of sea due to height of trees. You can’t sit on balcony and see the sea as there is a concrete wall in front of you. Towels were not changed during length of our stay (5 days). Apartment was not cleaned during staff either. Very little atmosphere in apartment block. Very long walk to get to main road although there is a courtesy bus but unfortunately we were not told this at check in. Quite far out of Benaladema - about 4-5 miles so walking into centre was not feasible. In truth I would not recommend these apartments and would not return here. We have stayed in better 3 star accommodation. These apartments have put me totally off self catering accommodation. BOOK ELSEWHERE

Just returned from my week long stay in casamaia apartments and thought I’d write up a review, apologies in advance for the length but I thought if I’d seen an in depth review it would have been helpful before my stay! Firstly I don’t think these apartments are pictured or advertised to their full extent so I thought I’d explain, they are part of a resort type set up with other hotels in the complex meaning there are security guards at the one and only entrance and exit ( as a group of girls this was a big win) making it feel safe. While we were there there wasn’t anyone in the lobby of the apartments we could use the 24 hour reception at Riwo hotel which is a 20 second walk, which also has a little shop for snacks and souvenirs if wanted. The pool is only accessible through the lobby which needs a room key card to enter so it was very quiet and safe which we loved, with a mix of loungers and beds to lie on. Once we changed rooms due to faulty air conditioning the rooms were cool and well equipped for cooking which we regularly did. The design of the main lobby is gorgeous with ivy everywhere a little bar and purple translucent stairs, but there is also a lift available. There is desks with outlets incase of work needs and though there is a building-wide Wi-Fi each room has its own Wi-Fi which is even better. One down side is that tho you can see the beach and sea, due to being about 30 m above it and there not being a direct path down you must go through this ring road round past the other hotels to get out, but there is a shuttle bus which picks up from outside the Riwo world reception which runs continuously so is in my experience normally every 10minutes tho we did once have to wait about 20, so chose to walk down which isn’t a bad walk. It also picks up from the first roundabout in the resort to take you up the hill. Food wise if you are self catering there is a supermarket on the sea front if you turn right out of the resort and past the gecko bar but it is probably a 15/20 minute walk depending on how fast you are which was a bit of a pain but we just did one big shop which lasted us. In terms of location the beach nearby is lovely and we found the end closest to the resort to be the quietest ( again turning right out of the resort or left if you look on the map). There are some bars along the sea front the gecko being the closest but the ones we’d recommend were “elements” and “calipso” which has a fab cocktail menu but again they are probably a good half an hour walk away maybe a little more, so lovely for an evening out and walk back along the beach but not for everyone (also we were trying to not spend too much so didn’t call taxis but I can imagine that would have made it a lot more accessible). In terms of nightlife nearby we found that our favourite thing was taking the bus to Plaza Solymar (the last bus is from the stop if you turn left out of the resort at about 22:40 ish and is route 120) where you can find the Irish bar which al
