Moon River Cabins

it was clean. It felt like a little neighborhood with the other cabins right on the river! very cozy! we would recommend this place to anyone. They were so accommodating answer all question's we had! knew of great places to eat. It was a very comfortable stay.

The view of the Mississippi river is spectacular! The cabins are located right by the river in a peaceful, friendly town. It's the perfect place to treat yourself to some rest and relaxation.

The cabin and the grounds were newly renovated and like new. We were looking for a sort of "base camp" for our stay as we love to hike outdoors and see the sights. The bed was comfortable. We used the hot tub every morning and evening. We sat on the front porch and used the fire pit most evenings as we watched the Mississippi River with its boaters, the barges, and cruise ships. The lock and dam was interesting. The location was great as we visited Bellevue State Park, Maquoketa Caves State Park, Galena, IL, and Apple Valley State Park in IL. We also visited a couple Bellevue restaurants and the is a grocery store right up the street. The owners were very responsive and communicated well

This is the 2nd visit to the Moon River Cabins we have done. Both times we stayed in the Paddlewheel cabin with the river view. We first visited before the new owners took over and had a wonderful experience. It was exciting to see all the new updates that have taken place on our second trip. They were also generous in offering a military discount. Appliances, furniture and fixtures were all updated and small board games were added to the cabin. There is a small fire ring and grill off the little patio on the river side that is very convenient. They also added streaming options to the TVs which was thoughtful as well as convenient. The owners are also adding a hot tub to this cabin which may be a cool experience for some folk. It is in a great location being within walking distance to the main street and hubbub of food, gas station, Brewery, coffee and a little shopping. The park is also nearby for a lovely stroll or hike. Overall, we had a great experience and do recommend staying here as we will also be back in the future to stay.

We recently stayed at Moon River Cabins and had a great experience! The new owners have clearly made some new updates. Everything was so well done and they paid attention to a lot of little details. We stayed in the PaddleWheel and loved the location right on the river. When we were there it looked like they were in the process of installing an outdoor hot tub too.
