Evolve Back Hampi

A full 5 star rating for this 5-star property. It's got impeccable hospitality, extremely courteous and welcoming staff and stunning architecture. I would easily give it 10 stars in nearly everything- staff behaviour, thoughtfulness, food, hospitality, suite decor and opulent architecture. This was my first stay at an Evolve Back property and I am astounded by the whole experience. It beats so many other resorts across the country I have stayed in. Few people I would specifically like to call out for excellent service- Mohanan & his colleague from HK for their smiles and quick service, Chandana, Sudesh and Balamma from front desk who patiently answered all our queries, took out time to make us feel at home & Balamma patiently gave us a Jal Mahal tour too beyond her office hours. In Tuluva, nearly everyone - Vinay, Saurabh and all other staff who were always on their toes. Abhijith - the naturalist who later doubled up as a storyteller for their evening session was excellent. His knowledge about birds, their sounds and the forest is rich and he is very kind. This is one of the longest reviews I have written and every bit of it feels underrated. Clearly the training imparted to the staff is par excellence and that reflects in their collective efforts to keep guest comfort on top. Hospitality aside, they have complimentary high tea, nature’s walk, story telling session and a wonderful souvenir shop. The suite was quite big- comes with an outdoor jacuzzi, complimentary snacks and beverages replenished twice a day and the overall room gave an authentic feel of living in a bygone era. I honestly can’t wait to explore their other 2 properties in India- the Hampi staff and resort have set the benchmark very high. I plan to return here soon, again..

After being to the other 2 hotels of Orange county resorts, this was always on the cards, and it definitely turned out to be as expected, maybe a bit beyond our expectations. Right from check-in, we were taken care of pretty warmly. The Jal Mahal rooms were really impressive. The house keeping (I am sorry I forgot the name of those 4 guys) did a wonderful job for my wife's Birthday decor and otherwise too. Loved the property overall and really looking forward to another trip to Hampi. The food in the restaurant is one thing I feel they could improve, especially by adding more options. Shiva, in the restaurant was there to help us get what we needed.

A magic astonishing place. A spiritual retreat at Hampi. The hotel has been build following the Lotus Mahal architecture and the huge bedrooms are offering a luxury medieval ambiance. I had the impression to be suspended in time. I cannot find one point of improvement as everything was perfect. Congratulation to the person who conceptualized this incredible place and to all the team for a customized service full of attention, particularly Chandana.

Very well run hotel with great customer service, food and facilities. With a high standard of accommodation, it delivers a memorable customer experience. They had an excellent choice of activities and we particularly enjoyed the nature walks.

Check-in & First Impressions The check-in process was completed a day before we reached hotel via online process so all we had to do was just a sign on reaching the hotel. Immediately upon arrival, we were given a nice garland and a tika on forehead as a traditional and royal welcome. While we were briefed about the hotel, we were also provided with cold face towel and a welcome drink much needed after a long travel from Bangalore to Hampi. The lobby was beautifully designed with a royal ambiance, setting the perfect tone for a royal yet relaxing stay. Best Part – the moment our car entered the main gate we were showered with rose petals which was unexpected and just set our moods right! 2. Room & Amenities Our suite named Neelaya with a massive terrace was opulent, big and traditionally royal. The spacious suite featured a plush king-sized bed, three different types of sofas, lounger, jacuzzi, separate and massive washrooms. It had a very rustic feel and everything was so old charm like the lamps, fan, switches etc. The room had all the essential amenities, including high-speed Wi-Fi, a well-stocked minibar (free), and luxurious toiletries. Best part – Massive spacious room, Terrace big enough to host party for 10 people, fresh flowers, balloons and cake for celebration was complimentary, a personalized welcome note, and high-end toiletries. No plastic bottles as they had RO filter in rooms for drinking water. 3. Service & Staff The hospitality was top-notch. The staff was exceptional—attentive, professional, and always ready to assist with any request. Housekeeping maintained the room impeccably every day. . Our personal butler ensured our stay was flawless, from making dinner reservations at Bahmini speciality restaurant to arranging private guide for sightseeing. 4. Dining Experience The hotel has 2 restaurants – Tuluva (all day dining) which is pool facing and partially open air and Bahmini (speciality dinner) in a separate building closer to lotus pond. Tuluva serves Indian, Local, Continental food with Bahmini nawabi plus international cuisine. High tea is complimentary served at Tuluva with sandwiches, cakes, patisseries, juices etc. Reservation is recommended at Bahmini which your butler can do for you. 5. Facilities & Extra Services The hotel’s Ayurvedic spa was good, offering rejuvenating massages and wellness treatments. They had an activity center for games etc which we did not use. 30 mins story telling session at Deep Mahal is organised daily to enlighten the guest of rich cultural heritage of Hampi, Indian Mythology and Landscapes. Additional services like car rentals and exclusive shopping experiences at their bazaar shop, and local guides arranged at the hotel itself made our stay even more special. Highlight – Hot air ball

5/5. This is a top end resort which we used as our base to explore Hampi (10m drive) and Badami-Aihole (3hrs drive). Overall everything worked well. The booking process was efficient and communication was good. The Hubali airport pickup was seamless with a good car. We were welcomed in traditional fashion and taken to a lovely large room with a balcony. The resort is full of flowers and greenery. Huge bathrooms ! One morning we went for the hot air balloon ride which should not be missed (even if expensive). It gives a great Birds Eye view of the entire Hampi complex. Food was excellent and extensive whether it was breakfast or the open air dinner under the stars with a Bharatanatyam dance. We interacted with the chefs who were keeping a close eye and very responsive to requests. They have a spa which gives good massages in a pleasant setting. In any resort the staff make all the difference and here everyone from front office to housekeeping to banquet staff and even the head chef was on the ball and made every effort to cater to our requirements. We had a single point contact ms Megha who was very responsive. Thank you.
