Standing stones lodge is in an excellent location with some amazing views. We stayed in 1 of the lodges I stayed with my 2 children a 6 year old and 1 year old. My friend had a seperate lodge with her children. We where put in a accessable lodge I'm not sure why this was and it was a bit of a nitemare trying to shower my 1 year old as it was very slippy. I requested a cot unfortunately I wasn't able to use this as it was very grubby and stained, no sheet was provided to cover the mattress. There was a few cobwebs in the room and some hairs on the bed but it was fine for 1 night. We dined in the restaurant and ate of the nye menu 2 courses for £30. The adults were preordered and we ordered the kids of the children's menu. I had to ask for a child's menu then I had to ask for a drink order to be taking. It was busy enough but there was plenty of staff. The service wasn't good at all. It was over an hour after we where seated that we where eating. My 1 year olds baby bowl never arrived I asked for this 3 times. I had to ask about desserts that then arrived wrong, and had to ask again about the kids icecream. I did tell a waitress it had been a disaster and she apologised. My friend also told someone when paying the bill how bad the service had been and how we had to chase everything. Place has a nice atmosphere and the food was basic but fine when we eventually got it. I def think that it could be alot better run. The kids meals where just under a tenner and that was for a main and Ice cream expensive considering it was frozen nuggets and chips. My friend spoke to reception when checking out and relayed our issues and was told someone would make contact, we didn't hear anything and although it's a good location we probably won't be back.
