Beautiful location, close to Mutianyu Great Wall. Ideal for 1-2 nights stay but there’s not a lot of options aside from the three restaurants they have (Vietnamese, Hotpot and In-hotel cafe/restaurant) should you want to stay longer. Excellent service, beautiful unique location. Wish we had a mini-fridge in the room for our snacks + drinks.

Amazing place to stay - beautiful views (particularly the direct views of the wall from our rooms and the jacuzzi) lovely authentic rooms and the staff were WONDERFUL! Nothing was too much trouble, they made our stay so easy and were on hand to help us get to Mutianyu and back again. I will definitely be bringing guests to stay here again! Thank you :)

We just stayed at the Mumanyu villa at Brickyard and it was perfect in every way. First the location is less than 10 minutes by car to the wall and the hotel has a van and they will drive you. The hotel has a western restaurant and a Chinese restaurant both were fantastic. We had a nice buffet breakfast but you can also have breakfast in your villa if preferred. The grounds are awesome and very clean with lots of interesting art and furniture for lounging and relaxing. There was an art museum that we visited as well on the property. They have a spa and sauna and masseuse - we wanted to experience it all but didn’t stay long enough. The staff are exceptionally nice and we especially loved the manager, Stanley. He helped us with so many arrangements and made our stay a dream come true. We went to the wall multiple times and he arranged cars and reservations and a shuttle to and from Beijing. This property is one of a kind with the houses all in the village and the property is unique and very special. I will be back for sure and will tell everyone I know to come here. You will not be disappointed. Stanley will take care of you as will the whole staff. His English is perfect if you need any help navigating. Love this resort! We stayed for one night to visit Mutianyu Great Wall - definitely recommended doing it this way than driving in one day from Beijing. Resort is beautifully designed to blend with the surroundings, photos don’t do it justice! Our room had a view of the Great Wall which was amazing! Rooms are nicely furnished with great little touches (eye mask, extra heaters, fruits, roasted chestnuts:). Breakfast was a al carte in their bistro and it was very well prepared. You can also have drinks or free tea/coffee during the day. We had a dinner in the Vietnamese restaurant in their sister resort next door, another beautifully designed place, food ok. Hotel service was great (esp. Stanley), they offered free drop off and pick from the Mutianyu entrance (use WeChat to call for pick up). Also, they gave us free tix for art & architecture museum in the village - 5-10 mins walk, do visit if you can, museum is very contemporary, again great design, but still somehow sits nicely in this sweet village. Getting to resort with DiDi was painless, about CNY230 one way (premium car), about 80mins.

Pretty wonderful place to stay if you plan to visit the Great Wall. I recommend to use hot tab after the long distance climbing. Service is good and food is tasty western style

What a treat! This hotel was exceptional in service, location to wall, and providing guest experience. Breakfast was amazing. Dinner was served in their village Chinese hotpot restaurant in a beautiful private room! I can't wait to go back!

Our stay at brickyard was brilliant. We stayed in the rock house villa with a view of the Great Wall out of our bedroom window and an amazing experience staying in a beautiful Chinese villa. The service was great from start to finish and the staff were very helpful with getting us get to the wall and picking us up to take us back to the hotel. This service was really helpful and the staff were very happy to assist at any point. One part that could be improved was the quality of food and options of food. We thought the dinner buffet and breakfast could be bigger and of better quality. Overall we’d recommend this place to stay if you are planning a trip to the Great Wall 😄

We had an excellent stay (2 nights). Stanley welcomed us very heartily. The rooms have a fantastic view to the Great Wall. We received free transportation to/from the entrance of the Great Wall and after climbing stairs relaxed our muscles in the jacuzzi. The massage thereafter was wonderful. So was dinner. We can highly recommend this place.

Our trip was mainly to share bbq and we had all we needed provided by the hotel. Nice cleaning service and well-equipped villa.

We had such a lovely stay at the Brickyard Retreat! The staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and we also enjoyed the outdoor hot spa big day at the Mutianyu Great Wall. Would definitely recommend!

Excellent location next to the wall. Staff are friendly and speak excellent English making planning your trip around the local area very easy.

After 3 times at the Brickyard this is definitely my favorite place to stay nearby the Great Wall. The whole hotel is decorated nicely and the staff provides very good service. Great food options too with 3 restaurants (hotpot, vietnamese and western). I will definitely come back again.

My stay at Brickyard Retreat, was most relaxing and very enjoyable. Service is outstanding as is the food. My dog was accommodated and treated well. Sauna and massage well recommended. Will definitely go back.
